NEC Raphael impressions

Prep has become a "super stance" sort of. Your proto-typical stance had only a few options, but all the options were generally stronger than move available from neutral (kinda like SE now) which balanced against the restricted options and limited movement.

Prep's has two attacks that are available from mid (and none of the moves from it are absurdly strong), but can now duck highs, retreat, aGI mids, while having 3 options from prep that allow re-entry.

Its definately more spammy for pressure, but less brain-dead spam because the moves arn't as dirty overpowered. I think more ignorant people will whine about SC5 prep rushdown than SC4 prep, while raph mains are going to miss the threat of prepA and SEA B's ability to CH for 55 damage for those who step-attack against Raph.
O well it's a different game so maybe it'll be easier to cope.

:O now i understand :( prep is enhanced >___> so now we have to rely on prep if i understood well...

i preferred the old long range punishing raph :| i never liked prep ...

So is raph new prep similar to sc4 mitsurugi stance game? that was a solid stance game...

P.S. wait and what does stance have against lows? i wouldn t like to be owned by any 2K -.- prep K:K is no more i think.

So if players learn to blocks slow lows (they seemed slow) or just to 2K then raph is toast? not even a jumping prepK like sc4?
If its so i don t think raph will be better than sc4 version...i'd say worse if possible.

well i'll understand better in 2 weeks >.>

Depending if 2K has full TC animation (since in SC4 it had slower TC frames than 2A for example) its possible you can CH him with the high moves from prep.

Short range TC moves are the least of raph's worries (he can prep A+B or just not enter prep and work on the guard meter with another 3B/22B/236B).

Its the longer range TCing mids (like iWR B) from a lotta other characters that i'm worried about. I don't think you can step as easily after a 3B, and 3(B)~prep214's aGI frames have yet to be seen.
