NEC XII SC4 Full Results & Aftermath

The final major tournament for Soulcalibur IV is now in the books here at NEC XII in Philadelphia, PA. Competitors from across North America and Europe participated in one of the toughest tournaments that I have seen during the life of this game, along with those who came to try out the demo build of Soulcalibur V.

I would like to thank everyone who came through to NEC, to the European players for flying over to compete, to the staff who helped keep things going, and to Namco Bandai for their support of NEC XII. Everyone had a hand in making NEC an amazing success.

If you come to NorCal I can guarantee that shit won't happen Ramon. That is beyond terrible.

 

If you come to Canada I will personally carry you from the airport (or bus station) to the venue while Partisan follows and feeds you grapes with his tiny hands and Eli fans you with a dried beaver tail.

Once you arrive at the venue I will carve you a personal igloo to stay in and capture dogs for you, so that you can get around town easily. When it is time for you to sleep I will already have hunted and skinned enough baby seals to make you the softest and warmest blanket you will ever use--and you can keep it, of course.

While you play your matches I will have my family on hand to rub your feet and massage your hands between games. My 76 year old grandmother will be ready to cook and clean for you, and my 3 sisters will sing anything you request, while my mother accompanies them on your choice of piano, classical guitar, or harp. My youngest daughter will spread flowers before you whenever you choose to walk, while my 4 strong sons will be on hand to carry you in a personal palanquin if you so desire.

And this goes for everyone.

 

Can't wait for my first visit to Canada. :)

I see tournament results are still like I said they would be. Nothing has changed. Names are still where they should be. Props to SCPartisan because that happens to be the only shocking surprise in the results though I expected TP and Dreamkiller to be a bit higher but the results are exactly how they should look.

The exhibition team tournament didn't have the format that was hyped I see? Still America > Europe so that's nice!!!!!!!

Didn't watch anything to busy watching and playing Marvel but I hope some of the stuff was recorded. I'm actually super curious about SCPartisans videos.

Sad to hear Ramon still didn't get a ride... This is actually quite ridiculous. So not cool. Just wow!

Other than that, my last 5 tournament matches were against Ivy's:
1) Malek in random teams
2) Malek in team north america
3) Woahhzz in singles
4) Malek in singles
5) Scud in singels

The results for singles were 1) Woahhzz - Ivy, 3) Scud - Ivy, 5) Malek - Ivy. And if Ring was here, it would've been Woahhzz/Ring/Scud for top 3.

RTD, go back a few months ago, your last matches at DEV were against NFK, awesome Ivy player too, wich remind me that he was coming too to NEC, I'm kind of sad that he didn't make it, but happy that there were no more Ivys.

It's more than official now, Ivy won almost everything in America and Europe, which is sad and will leave some questions in the air.


And Rob, why did you leave you out of the best players in the world?, you are there too, when you are focused and prepared, you are a train.

Hey, and to clarify, I haven't played online regularly for almost a year, that was part of the improvement in my game I think...

Sometimes, without warning, the future knocks on our doors and bless us with some of the greatest gifts of our lives. However, as it is for many, the gift is often not appreciated or even recognized. Three years ago, I took my first step into the Sheraton Suites to compete in NEC9. And it was at that very moment that God have given me something special. Three years later tomorrow, I have finally discovered what this precious gift was as I look back at what made it possible for me to even become the champion of NEC12. It was this wonderful community. It was the soul calibur players that share the same passion and love for the game with me. It was the players that travels and had travel to tournaments and made the tournament experience one of the most enjoyable moments of my life. Thank you all, for being part of this family and keeping it alive, and I only wish this family would grow for SC5.

I would like to especially give my thanks to Jaxel, Kit, Malice, HackerMike, Kit's brother, and others (that I may have misseed) who have worked so hard to stay organized.

I will give my regards to those that I have met at NEC12 in chronological order, so stay tuned.
