Nightmare

Oh, oops. If they try to get up it'll CF them automatically then, I only took a quick look into it last night and didn't notice they couldn't tech. Training counts it as a combo if the CPU is set not to tech, any ukemi setting makes the CF work and adds 10 damage, so I just assumed. Still just as useful.
 
GS -> GS KK was never a combo to begin with... -_-... GS B6 GS KK is combo though.

it's kinda hard to tell if NM in BD is better or not...

my first impression was NM in BD is better.. but now i find it too early to determine.

overall... RO gotten worst but Damage/SG gotten better... tech traps remain similar
safeness is still the same

WS -> gs KK imo is a big deal.. but getting to do 33B/3B post GI is also a big deal as well also... a better SG game makes a lot more sense than a crappy one considering the fact he's supposed to be unsafe.

everyone's damage gone up... that's true... but not everyone's got good wall combo/game like NM does so NM damage went up... and way up for wall

finally giving him 3B/33B for post GI basically makes his RO/Damage significantly easier once you GI your opponent.

I've got a question.

Does 2P Nightmare still have more reliable techtraps than 1P NM?

Does CH GS A -> a -> NSS K now combo consistently without a delay and wall?
 
i tested few things of BD nightmare.

for example 6K wow this move seems to be so dangerous in BD, after CH 6K you can do the 1A or 44BB tech traps, if you try to ukemi the 1A will knock you down again, allowing GS KK, for a 79 damage combo, otherwise if you stay in the ground trying to stand on reaction (by seeing the 44BB) and you don't ukemi, the 44B(B) will hit you in the ground, allowing NSS > GS B for a 93 Damage combo.

they change nightmare's Guard Crush game, here a rapid list of the few strong GC moves in BD

8 -A+B+K > unsafe
9 -66B+K > safe
9 -66A+B > unsafe
11 -1(A) > safe

so the knockback from CH 6K is reduced compare to SC4 ? does CH 6K > GSKK work without any walls/edge? that would be awesome for ring outs if they don't tech.

i think NM isn't a good SG character to begin with, he already does decent damage and even got a damage buff in BD.

yes, GS KK is always guaranteed after CH 6K on BD, i think this Nightmare is so much better than the SC4 Nightmare, i hope Namco release BD to consoles quickly

The upgraded step makes him completely insane. As he is one of the best whiff punishers in the game, means with the upgraded step, he is be awesome. 33Bs all day long.

I don't agree with the upgraded damage though. Its just too high for everyone across the board. Everything else, im fine with. The BD patch or SC4.5 cant come soon enough heh.
 
Mikosu took a look at the pdfs Project Soul posted and this is what he had to say about them.

The pdfs aren't all that deep. They just give the command, attack name, hit LVs, damage, and some notes. There's no frame data or anything like that. The walkthroughs are pretty basic. I can attempt to translate some of it. Unfamiliar kanji never stopped me before!

Though for Tira, they listed all of the self-damage values for her so that's nice for Tira players atleast.
