I really liked Shuffle. I'm not one to get annoyed by the overbearing cliches in the show because I actually liked the characters. (For those who don't know I have an awful taste in anime because apparently Lamune was bad...lol)

Also yea there are occasions where you see more than just boobs...lol.
Lamune's bad? wow. So, that means that Nerine is too right?

Currently I am reading The World God Only Knows...Which I never do. If I watch the anime first I don't read the manga and vice versa. However, reading it got me thinking about love. Although, what main protagonist does is kind out there (pimping and all), it has some validity to it. So it really makes me question what the hell is love?

I enjoy romance like the next person, but logically I know this stuff is a joke. People are fickle, just as easily as you fall for someone you can easily lose interest. And maybe it's the circumstance that bring you together, and how they change overtime...as certain goals are either met or not met...determining the eventual outcome of relationships.

So what do you guys think about love? Is there such a thing as true love? IMO heck no. But what's your take on it?

I think there are many different kinds of love. True love I suppose would be whichever kind you think is most important...or perhaps all love is true in some way.

Reading the Naruto manga atm, flame me if you must.. but if you watched 220+ naruto episodes + some fillers till you figured out you could skip them, and then a nearly similar amount in the Shippuuden, you'd wanna see this mother fucker through to the end too, so don't judge me. O.o

I just finished Watching Clannad, Angel Beats, and Romeo x Juliet

Clannad, is most definately my new favorite anime :3.... i cried so many times Dx

they both suck! naruto gives ninjas a bad name and bleach is just a knock-off version of this!

if you thought that was a tear jerker try grave of fireflies.

Currently watching Dectective Conan, One Piece, Fairy Tail

Reading One Piece, Fairy Tail, Ippo, Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, D-Greyman, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Detective Conan and New Prince of Tennis.

I couldn't continue with watching Naruto because of the fillers and the way some of the fighters were animated. Reading it has been a lot better. Right now, i would have to say that Naruto has stepped up on being a power house compared to before. Bleach i dropped the minute i read about Aizen being caught. The fact that it is still going on makes it the DBZ of our time... So sad..

Everyone's answer to "What is love?" is going to be different. Anyone who posts in an obligatory anime thread on a video game website will have a radically different and skewed definition of love.

With that said, IMO, love is in shared experiences, and those experiences then establish a deep connection. "True love" differs with each person as well, but I think that when you eventually get married (if marriage is in your destiny) that's true love. It won't necessarily be perfect, but it's the best you will ever have because you made it yours.

On a slightly different topic, I think anime has greatly affected my approach to relationships (I think me acknowledging that fact signifies the impact isn't as deep as it might seem, but anyways). My past two relationships have all been more-or-less the tsundere archetype, and pretty much all relationships I've had in the past have been initiated by the girl. All this fits in with the stereotypical male-lead in anime: anti-social-to-a-degree guy gets together with a tsundere with an overbearing personality.

I still watch Naruto and it's by far the worst of all the active shounen shows on, including the horrid remake of Hunter x Hunter. While Bleach is still good no matter how many people think it's just Yu Yu and Shaman King combined (which it is) and One Piece of course THE BEST, by far.

Also Persona 4 anime not that bad at all,
and i believe Clannad is sadder than Fireflies. ONLY because Fireflies is a lont drawn out movie that's continuously sad and heart breaking while Clannad tears your heart out, heals it again and then rips it out again.
Both are great though.

Clanned, i think i watched this but i dont remember, maybe someone can give me a short sysnop on it... the only anime that almost got me to tear up was Hikaru no Go. but that was a while ago now, and even now i still find that Anime as one of my favs.

Ah yes, love. By the way The world god only knows is awesome.

I thought I had found love with a girl once. She was rich, sweet, good at all the things I was not.

We giggled and had a lot of fun together, she understood my anime and gaming wants.

Then I found out that she used to be a guy... Kay so that was strange huh? So I distanced myself from her, but it was strange because everything seemed so right. Some people say it isn't about the plumbing, but ya know the smell is just different..

I don't know. The whole experience kind of showed me that love can be downright dirty. Oddly enough I want my next woman to be a clean one, a tigress once in a while but an overall good gal who is sweet and likes to cook. :P

Clannad is a school life anime, comedy/romance. Done by Kyoto Animation created by KEY, gods of sadness. Watch as the main character whom is a punk slowly become a man through arcs of him doing something special with another character. Hard to explain really, but it's a damn good show. two 25 episode seasons.

I loved the show, but that's 75 dollars for 4 episodes on a blu-ray disk and a box. Personally, I'd rather buy the box set when it comes out, a real artbook and/or pvc figures (haven't seen any I really liked yet though). It might cost you a bit more, but it's worth it, especially if you end up having to buy every limited edition dvd set.

As for Clannad...
The basic premise is a bunch of retarded girls doing cute things and getting their lives ruined by Tomoya's meddling. It is my favorite show ever made. Don't remember tearing up though, guess I might have to get around to watching those blu-rays I ordered.

I find it amusing that the three girls they chose for the disk illustrations were Fuko, Kotomi, and Fujibayashi (Ryou), like the 3 most minor main characters. Not that I'm complaining, I like Kotomi.

Translated some of the official short stories a long time ago: http://2xtottemo.wordpress.com/category/clannadanother-story-translation/. I need to get the rest of them so I can work on them again :(.

Yeah, I like this show.
