it's not that hard, i mean the number of shows i've got completed are in the thousands (1700+) but i mean i watch a lot all the imte, i finish a series every week at LEAST along with about 30 eps of random shows

So I'm way behind on haruhi lol. The problem is...I don't remember if I'm on episode 6 or 7, and I can't tell by just skimming the episode. Don't really feel like watching either of them.

Couldn't you just skip to the end of Endless Eight? They're all pretty much the same. That's kind of the point.

Any why would you watch so much anime at once. Most anime is fucking terrible. It's not unique; most of any medium is fucking terrible, which is why people try and filter as much of the shit out as possible.

Most of anything is shit, most all TV is crap. The reason i watch anime in general is i prefer any and all generic and overly told stories in a better style (as i like the art styles) rather than LIVE or terrible american animation. I watch all anime to find gems and to learn the hard way what shit really is. Because YOU (as in anyone) can't call something shit if you haven't seen it, even if it's the general thought or you even caught PART of it.

and no on Haruhi, if you skip the endless EIGHT, you'll miss the official Kyo-Ani Endless Eight quiz which will be about specific things on each episode. I think that MAY be the actual reason they had it so long.

A quiz? Who even cares. O_o

But I still don't get it. Do you have to watch more than one episode of a show to know they're terrible? Hell, 5 minutes will do for most. And besides that, people review these things, and it's quite sensible to read a few bad reviews for a show and then avoid it. They watch the shit so you don't have to. And even if you didn't want to go by reviews, can't you read a synopsis? It's not unreasonable to avoid a show with an obviously horrible premise (or at least one you don't like). There's no reason to watch generic anime just because you like it more than generic live action. Why not cut the generic out all together?

The only people who consume that much unfiltered media are critics, and they do it because it's their job.

Whatever floats your boat, though.

no, you can't go by what anyone else says no matter what, and also no, 5 minutes of a show that's 12 eps or more long doesn't show you anything. It may be something you dislike personally, but it still may be something that is good in general. If it's not your taste then ya sure, don't watch it, but you can't judge it in any way.

I have to agree. I LOVE onegai teacher. Its one of my favorite series. But had i only watched the first 5 minutes of it or gone off what other people say - i wouldnt have watched it.

MAN onegai teach was beast...

I wanna make an AMV of it with The Roots "Comin' to break you off"

I'm willing to miss 2 or 3 shows that I might possibly like to avoid 500 shows that I definitely wont. Just for practicality or efficiency, it's the way to go.

And yes, you can go on what other people say. I do it all the time and I'm glad for it.

Yeah, I'm generally the same way. I used to watch about 3 episodes and then quit if I didn't like it at that point. Though ever since Shakugan no Shana Second which happened to get good at the 4th episode, I increased that number to about 4 or 5. If the first 3 episodes are bad enough, I'll still drop it though if it has nothing going for it (like a good first season).

...hold up, someone who liked the second season of Shana? lolz, most everyone else hated it. I'm kind of indifferent (In between liking it a little).

so whos following Shippuuden right now?

its probably the only anime im following...as of now...
