So i finished marathoning Amagami SS and went straight from that to Hatsukoi Limited.

Before i say anything else Amagami FAR > Hatsukoi

Amagami does something i like a lot and that's the omnibus method of telling it's story. Telling each girls story as it's own gives you a bunch of different styles and situations you normally wouldn't get and i like that. I also think, in terms of Amagami, they showed you that you could very well tell a decent to good love story in only 4 episodes this way while most take the entire 26 for it's single, yet 6 times as interrupted, story. They even did it while introducing the other characters, showing what they are doing around the same time as when they were the main characters and even made it funny, weird and somewhat crazy. They even answered little questions they brought up in one arc later on with another arc.... great stuff.
The only issue i have with this style is you can start to miss the other characters and their set pieces with the main character. Sure you get small chunks of em in every arc but occasionally you miss weird bellybutton kissing that you know wont happen in your tea ceremonies.
But since there's a season 2 and some of the mangas this show is form is still being written we could have quite a bit of Amagami and that would fix that issue.
Mix that with good animation, quality, decent music and all girls being likable, you got me hooked.

Going straight from that to Hatsukoi had a very cool contrast of the same genre, yet both of these shows don't do the standard thing. Hatsukoi was more... generic haremish, more ecchi and such BUT the lack of that single main character was awesome. Instead of one guy you focused on the group as a whole, each character doing their own thing after their own guy/girl. This leads to numerous family crossovers and weird love "shapes" as i put it and it's funny and weird. Most importantly for me though in this show is you get to see what is normally the side characters, both male and female, flow into their own love stories and see them fleshed out more than you ever would with any other show like this. It ended up being an entertaining experience.
The little OVAs for the show were hilarious too.
That being said...... this show had the Toradora animators and one of the Toradora directors so i can see why i may have taken to it more than i should have. The animation quality was Very High as well. But a lot of the girls and some of the guys were just horrible people or stupid.... like most anime harem characters are, and with no main character to focus on you sorta got a bigger spread of just how bad they can be. Taking that and mixing it in with swift apologies and what looked to me as false forgiveness it just becomes annoying. HOWEVER for the most part i liked the show. It left a lot wide open though..... so like Amagami i wish they'd keep going, but doesn't look like it.

But watching them back to back like that was just fun in general. I need to watch season 2 of Amagami at that and start AnoNatsu at some point..... but i have a WHOLE LOTTA shows to catch up on.

Dayum i love me some anime.

Reminds me that Bakuman has the same character designer as Hatsukoi...... must i watch that now too?

Bakuman is good watched the first season.

Amagami? I finished the extra of Miya's arc. Will I throughly enjoyed the whole thing, but some parts of the arcs really leave me meh. As I mentioned earlier, Kaoru(a favorite girl of mine) deserves better. Rihoko was okay. Tsukasa's seemed to be more lackluster in the Amagami plus compared to the one before. But the arcs that kept me happy imho were Ai's, Haruka's, and surprisingly Nakata's.

I'm not sure whose my favorite heroine now, since I watched them all lol.

Well that's understandable as any show like this would end up having.

The general opinion i've come across is that Ai's was the best arc. Whether she was your favorite or not, from beginning to end and everything in between that arc was good. While my favorite Rihoko was the most mundane arc and nothing happened really.

For me the arcs go a little something like this for how good they were. Ai, Kaoru/Haruka, Sae, Tasukasa, Rihoko.
Ai's was just the best from pacing to situational comedy to Ai herself, so good.
Kaoru's was fun, weird at times, and had a huge heaping pile of seriousness thrown at you half way that the rest really didn't have.
Harukas was easily the most fun because she's easily the most fun character in the show, it was filled with awkward moments, funny jokes and the whole shebang.
Sae's was good but she was annoyingly shy, like i wouldn't have the patience to deal with her at the beginning level of shy and quiet. But the arc itself was ok, fairly funny throughout and had probably the single best moment of the show with the contest.
Tsukasa...... the TWIST to Tsukasa, especially with her being the last one, was awesome. It changes how you viewed her the rest of the arcs too. But because they introduced this, their lack of explanation of her, the actual love story and other character interactions were limited so much it felt incomplete, maybe even rushed so that when anything happened you just didn't feel it. Especially after all the previous really good arcs.
Rihoko..... my favorite..... it was just the most standard, uneventful arc of the series.

With all that being said, i still enjoyed all of them quite a bit. Even the two extra arcs which were funny as all get out. The Rise arc though was dumb for one reason, but i wont go into it....

Anyway the fact that there's another season could help with the unexplained situations from arcs, the averageness of others and fill your void of wanting the rest so this could all be fine.
Not to mention we could even get MORE AND MORE of it. I want One Piece length in my Amagami.

Oh and the little special episodes were funny too, especially Harukas

So looks like I'll be watching Fate Zero season 2 and Acchi Kocchi this season. Just saw first episode of both. Fate Zero episode 14 was good, and stuff actually happened unlike most episodes in season 1. Wish they would cut down on the CG but what can ya do. Acchi Kocchi is basically just cute overload but I liked it so yeah.

So i've been awake for quite some time now because i decided to watch anime on Netflix that i had started at one point but never finished for whatever reason.

In Order:

Baccano! episodes 14-16, pretty much the 3 ovas. I don't know why it took so long for me to see these, especially since i LOVE the show. These were great. I mean i laughed a lot, some awkwardly profound quotes in there, for anime at least, grim little moments of closure and just fun times all over. Even in a short time span and in lighter times the characters are just too cool to watch.
And the whole Carol thing at the end was a nice touch.

Black Butler 7-24 + the ova. Ya this felt like a million years, but i've heard a lot about the show and how good it was so i decided now is the time to watch it. It was OK. It was fairly boring for a monster of the week style show which is never good, it took 20 episodes for any real explanation on the other servants of the main character and i figured out exactly what the finale would be really early on which sucked.... The action in it was only ok at best and, unless it happens in season 2 which im unsure as to how that exists, i really don't like the "mystery" behind Sebastion's real form. It was more annoying than mysterious. And "I'm one HELL of a butler." got annoying REAL fast, like faster than Believe It! fast.
However i like their attempt to make the entire dub sound like their actual accents, even if some just hurt my ears. It was pretty to look at overall and i do like how dark it was, such as it's willingness to kill characters. The first time i laughed however was when , threw me for a loop lol. Wish we got to see boobs though, would've been funny to see a bishounen anime with female only nudity. Anyway it wasn't bad.

Dance in the Vampire Bund episodes 5-12. I stopped the show when it was licensed at 2, watched 2 more over the whole censorship debacle and the stopped again when they announced it would indeed be uncensored.
THIS SHOW WAS AWESOME, i totally forgot how much i liked it and how much i remembered from the first 4 episodes because of that. It was kind of slow to begin with but i really liked it when it picked up. SHAFT is of course amazing, the action was cool, the characters and show itself of course was dark and cool. A lot of tits and blood and i liked that as well, gruesome situations at times.
I wish there was more of it, i mean they left it open to continue but which sorta ruins any surprise murder or what not..... At first i though "Noooooooo don't go the Blood + twin route" and than it ended and i was like......... "Nooooooo gimme more".

FMP Fumoffu. Ya that's right 10 years ago, that's how far back i went. I own this show and i remembered i never finished the final disc..... It's been SO LONG that i just said i'll rewatch all of it and holy crap i forgot how amazing FMP Fumoffu was. Hell how great FMP is in general. This was one of the earlier series that i just looked at and went "Damn this show looks good" and the show itself was great as well. KyoAni did it so that only makes sense but cmon.
But Episode 2 part 2 is still one of the funnier 13 minute segments i've seen from anything ever lol, i love it and im not sure why. The entire thing was hilarious and the final episodes i never watched were good too, especially the last one. I also forgot i loved the theme songs for the show, is it me or does KyoAni have to have great music for their shows? Whether they're OP/ED or just in show songs, all their shows has one awesome or beautiful song.
I still need to see Second Raid but it's not on Netflix...... and im poor. AND i see there's nothing again after that so i REALLY want a good ending otherwise im gonna cry.... i LOVE FMP

And im still up.... thinking of going onto something else......

Rosario + Vampire 2, Regios, Shikabane Hime, Sacred Blacksmith, xxxHolic, Birdy the Mighty season 2, Phantom, Hetalia, Hero Tales, Sousei no Aquarion, Xam'd, Casshern Sins and Sengoku Basara are all shows that fall in the started but never finished list.....

Thinking of going with Rosario, Shikabane or xxxHolic to continue with the theme i obviously had going of dark/monster shows before Fumoffu.

So I just watched Okami-san and her seven companions. I can't be sure if it was created for young men or for teenage girls. I'm not sure who the intended audience was exactly but the possibility exists that I may have just devoured the Japanese equivalent of Archie's digest. That said, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Should I feel bad about that? Maybe. But I'm still gonna recommend it to you.
Aw, man, this was screening at Anime Boston this weekend and I was planning to see it...but I skipped it for lunch instead. :(

Anyone started watching Accel World?
It has 2 episodes(so its Fresh!)...but the Manga exists since 2010...the anime is really Good so far.
Beat em up up Fans should give it a Chance...

Good suggestion, just finished watching the episodes, I really like it :)

Im always glad if i can help =)
Keep on watching..its original story from the Manga.

Oh and one more thing..anyone who Loves Clamp..should watch Blood-C....its..its..to Hell with it.
Its Clamp..so just watch it!

Homework and being busy has split me and anime up for a couple of months now. I'm getting back into it though.

I finished Eden of the East. I loved it even though i felt it was too short.

The Johnny Hunter still scares me...

Finished Dead Man Wonderland. Seemed decent but some things irked me like how anyone could "act" cut in half. Looks like the manga a dresses those concerns.

So, how about Fate/Zero this season? It was definitely my favourite of Fall 2011 so I'm very excited for the coming episodes of season 2.

Haaa.... I realised that the manga Magic Knight Rayearth was a very old anime, so I've started watching it. Need to finish off sailor moon, man those magic girl shoujo animes, there's a lot of anime history I need to dig up, I was only 5 when shows like that were airing (little to my knowledge).

If I had realised the value of sailor moon, I would have kept those t-shirt and shorts (or were they pyjama sets), but again they were long gone as a little child.

Need to indulge in Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream Dear My Future... Medaka box is meh....
