Official SCV Stage Discussion

This map looks awesome for a duel.

The fact it looks like a narrow passage makes it seem a conflict is inevitable. If you're meeting @ the moonlight stage, you may walk around your opponent, whereas in this stage you must defeat your opponent in order to pass.

I'm orgasming over the fact that it's Palgaea Shrine and that it's so fucking long and rings out on one side and that it looks like it belongs in Tomb Raider/Uncharted/an Indiana Jones movie.

Yea the graphics are gorgeous, so smooth and rich. Does anyone know if you get a free bar if you get ringed out, I thought it happened in the voldo mitsu fight. Maybe its just a bit of extra meter for losing.

I would like the Wolfkrone Monument, but seeing as Wolfkrone is destroyed in SC5, that's not happening.
I loved the giant merry-go-round. :b

No, he didn't. He barely got any gauge. He already had 1bar.

Yea he had 1 bar but then as the next round commences he strikes a weird charging pose flashes red and 2 pops up in the red bar. 48 seconds in. He was close to 2nd bar at the end of the ring out tho, just weird that he did the pose.

SCV has some good looking stages. the dark stage reminds me of the stages from TekkenV. Ijust hope they make a stage for every character. like onSCIII.

I would like the destroyed wolfkrone castle stage from sc4 during wartime, that would be beyond epic... The stage would be still, instead of rotating.. and there should be a war going on, with gunshots and cannons shooting everywhere. The sky would be an ominous, smoky afternoon.. the the stage itself should have an upgrade. (Like an extended wood floor constructed to level with the formerly rotating platform.

That would be very cool, but how long ago was it destroyed? I don't know personally, so if it was destroyed a few years after SC4, that stage wouldn't work. :x

I think they have confirmed 20 stages in the game!

I would like to see some stage that have interactivity! Like the The new torture stage - Fighting in between giant Weapons swing in and out would be epic and something new for SC. And weather effects!

I really want to fight in the Rain or Snow. Also Another Endlees stage - maybe a beach version! with the waves coming in and out...

This awesome new image has really hyped me up! Looks like story mode includes an incedibly detailed world map once again, so hopefully we'll see an epic world journey and loads more amazing stages!!

didn't SC3 have this same thing? I'm hoping it's more than just show next location on map read make a decision where to got fight. I want something like SC2 though. that would be cool.

The map screen-grab is awesome news -

Theory 1:

One of the vids linked to on the TGS news feed thread featured some guys scrolling through about 29 stage -cards (some are blanked out of course). I counted 29 anyway.

This means potentially one stage for each character!!

Theory 2:
Looking at the awesome map below (which I'm sure we can safely say is a beefed up version of SC3's story mode map) you can see that some locations, like Londinium, Venetiae (venice) and Rhenus (the river Rhine) are highlighted in a white halo and stand out, whereas others are not, like the Unio Poloniae Lithuaniaeque (the historic Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth). Would it be too over-excited to suggest that the locations highlighted in white represent actual stage areas during the story mode? We've seen the castle drawbridge stage and the Germanic town-square - could these stages correspond to the locations below?

Also, maybe we'll finally get to see where Wolfkrone is located (if it still exists in-game) within the Holy Roman Empire.

I also wonder if they will use Latin for the Asian locations on the world map? So "Iaponia" for Japan and "Sinae" for China (for example)?

also Vienna,Praga and Roma(we yet seen the Coliseum!)

As i said time ago in the stages wishlist imho Venezia and Praga are the two most beautiful cities :O'''''''''

If really we really get back Venice(with Ezio as the Guest?) will be is so much atmosphere win

Overall the feeling get dramatic boost after a SC4 with space ships,67 saruman tower stages and many ugly

As now i've still not seen a ugly stage, and are going to be 20+

Win,really

Very true!! We have seen the Coliseum stage - I forgot that! I guess that'll be "Roma" or perhaps Pat's stage in Athens?

Venice would be amazing - there was a great Venice stage in SC 1 - imagine the update in 5!!!

- SC1 Venice.

This is definitely looking like a change for the better in 5, with more real-world looking locations as stages and a grounding in the stage of history, not fantasy.

I believe Wolfkrone is destroyed. On Soulcalibur.com, Hilde's 'title' is "She who vows to rebuild her homeland." and she's living in Schwarzwind now.
