Official SCV Stage Discussion

I believe Wolfkrone is destroyed. On Soulcalibur.com, Hilde's 'title' is "She who vows to rebuild her homeland." and she's living in Schwarzwind now.

That makes sense - i guess it would have been a little hard trying to add a make-believe country to a historic map in any case! Thanks for the info mate.

If anyone is interested (I'm very bored at work), I have translated the story mode world map from latin :)

Pretty self explanatory mostly, apart from a few places. Hopefully, we'll see stages from a lot of these locations (and some in Asia too of course).

From left to right (approx):

Regnum Scotiae - The Kingdom of Scotland

Regnum Britanniae - The Kingdom of Britain
Londinium - London

Regnum Franciae - The Kingdom of France
Lutetia Parisiorum - Paris
Lugdunum - Lyon
Sequana - The River Seine

Nederlandia - The Netherlands

Helvetia - Switzerland

Imperium Romanum Sacrum - The Holy Roman Empire (historic, now Germany)
Saxonia, Bavaria and Brandenburgum - German regions/states
Berolinum - Berlin
Lipsiae - Leipzig
Francofurti - Frankfurt
Bremae - Bremen
Hamburgum -Hamburg
Rhenus - The River Rhine

Venetiae - The Republic of Venice (historic)
Roma - Rome
Mediolanum - Milan
Padus - The River Po

Magnus Ducatus Austriae - The Grand Duchy of Austria (historic)
Vienna - same
Salisburgum - Saltzburg
Danubius - The River Danube

Bohemia - The Czech Republic nowadays (approx)
Praga - Prague

Unio Poloniae Lithuaniaeque - The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (historic, Lynette from SC3 is from here).

Hungaria - Hungary
Buda - Budapest

Imperium Ottomanum - The Ottoman Empire

EDIT! I also just noticed:

Regnum Danorum - The Kingdom of Denmark

Corsica - The Island of Corsica.
This is off Italy's coast, which is a likely location for Voldo's money-pit.
It's in the Mediterraneum, go left from Roma. Corsica is now a French Island, but at the time of Soul Calibur 5, it was part of the Republic of Genoa (Italy), so it makes sense for Voldo and Vercci to have set up a base there.

Has anyone noticed in the TGS videos with the Forest Castle Siege stage that there are ogres harrying the gate in the background? Seems like this game won't be too deep in realism anymore (not that it really was with Lizardman and Astaroth, but...)

Also makes me wonder if we'll get an ogre-like fantasy character in the roster.

Yes, that did have me concerned to actually - I guess they're golems, (I think Kayane used that term to describe them), so they're similar to Astaroth in-universe.

On another note - what stage is this? Has this been show-cased yet? I know the most recent 2 are the "Kunimitsu statue" temple stage and the Palgaea shrine, but where is this? Defo looks European, and that stone statue looks like a Griffin (Hilde's new motif). Plus, there is smoke billowing in the background, like it's been laid to ruin, so perhaps this is Hilde's Wolfkrone, after it's been attacked? (We know she lost control of her kingdom from her new bio)

I think there was also that new stage where Viola was revealed (I don't think it's the torture chamber or the Kunimitsu temple though- the lighting is different in each one).

Judging from the dismal lighting and the chains abound, it could possible be the return of the clock tower from SC3...?

No,it's the "kunimitsu temple",near to Viola's head you can see the same "window" with little squares that is on the left side of the temple image

I've noticed one thing, don't know if it's been already said.
When you are in the stage select stage and you select the BGM, I noticed that the stages are associated with character's BGM, so IF every character will have his/her own stage at the moment we have:
Wasteland - Tira;
Battleship - Maxi;
Torture chamber - Voldo;
Citadel under siege - Siegfried;
Square town - Patroklos.
And we can say:
Palgaea shrine - Astaroth;
Fox god statue - Natsu.
The only one that's not linked to any character is the Colosseum, we can see only "Colosseum BGM"

I think each level has its own BGM as well as has every character. isn't that what tago or kayane explained at some point? it might be linked to wht BGM you previously selected.

also, zwei not having the moonlit battlefield as his own stage kinda makes no sense.

Reverse logic
Maybe one of the new characters will be a gladiator-like (or anyway Colosseum related) char?
I hope yes :D

At first I thought it was just a European stage for SCV, but then I noticed a few things in the second image. These may be minor things, but they have been present in Assassin's Creed. On the upper center of the image, you can see a rooftop garden, which were generally used to hide from guards. The wooden railing surrounding it also seems similar to what was in Florence in ACII. Also if you look VERY closely to the left, you can see a wooden platform hanging from a crane, which was often use to help jump from roof to roof. The wooden scaffold in the upper part of the image also seems akin to what was designed in Assassin's Creed. I can't say much about the thatched roofing, but something about the stage's architectural designs on the buildings feel similar to what was in ACII/AC:B

Nice catch. There are definitely many elements present in AC scenery. We'll see if more stuff is revealed later. TBH, this stage is cool, although it wouldn't be as iconic as I would expect for Ezio's stage.
