Official SCV Stage Discussion

I dont think SC5 has enough castles. SC5 doesn't feel medieval enough without them.. nothing like SC4 or even close to SC3. Looking at it, a dungen stage would be an interesting laberynth style endless type stage. Look at the hallways that just get darker and darker.

I'm not surprised YOU suggested this, but nonetheless I think this is a great idea.

That would be a fitting tribute for Leixia but then again...everyone wants X back.
Everyone? PSH, not me.

I think something like this below, from Blazblue, would be perrrrfect for Viola. Instead of roses, have violets. A little more luminescence from the moon, and have the lighting a little bit on the blue side.

And then imagine "Dance of the Oracle" in the background? Ugh, I would never want to leave the stage.

Here's my thoughts on SCV's stages. A few were the same with the only difference being night or day. I didn't favor this, but I understand that the game wasn't a finished product so that was probably the best they could do.

Personally, I wanted a "Sakura Garden" stage. A stage that had Sakura flowers flowing in the background of the battle. Nothing too obnoxious, but there to appreciate. Here are some examples.

A decent sized field to fight on w/ trees in the sides.

A small bridge that can resort to RO's. I'd have the fighters start parallel w/ the bridge.

I love the step idea, the steps would need a trimming so no can trip or things like that.

These are my ideas.

Just seeing that reminds me too much of Setsuka. That stage would've been perfect for her.

I think it's funny how in older FGs the stages weren't flat but in all new games the stages are flat.

Not sure what you mean. A wide majority of fighting games have flat platforms. The only one I know that breaks the barrier is Mace: The Dark Ages. Not sure if you could count Tekken 4, but it's just a matter of looking that up. I think DOA had some stages as well throughout the series.

Soul Blade was nothing but 20 x 20 foot squares.
Soul Calibur was random geometric shapes.
Soul Calibur II was random geometric shapes, sometimes with walls.
Soul Calibur III was random geometric shapes, sometimes with walls, sometimes with breakable fences.
Soul Calibur IV was random geometric shapes, sometimes with collapsible walls, sometimes with SEESAWS.

I wasn't talking about SC Heaton. I was talking about VF and DoA mainly. Gosh... :P
Also elevation changes are what I meant, not dramatic ones but just really small changes like stairs, small slopes, etc.

Are you talking about on the stage or in the background?

Edit: I think lumps and stuff on the fighting arena would be bad.. If one's on the hill and one's not, if you do Pyrrha's 236 and it hits their feet, they'd hold their stomach? That'd be dumb.

I was talking about on the stage itself. Also the bumps would be small enough it wouldn't make a difference it would just show the stage isn't a perfectly flat area.

I think....since now 3 female uses high heels the stages need be flat.....( lol )
I dunno, Toledo burning Glaery was a amazing stage, the new Valentine mansion it is not quite cool,
Burning Valentine mansion....yes =D

This game could use a beach stage. I mean, if we can have a merchant ship being blown to bits and a pirate ship that's in the middle of a storm, why not have an infinite that takes place along the coast? Sounds simple enough, does it?
