if you want it to be a career, you can't just do it in photoshop.
i would love to dig through your stuff. i absolutely love studying other people's work.

from their individual style to their call sign. to the cliches that are met to appease the
public's view.

knowledge of shape, lines, texture, the form... i wonder, when was it that i started to
see the world as simple lines...

also, psylo was talking to someone named kirt... not sure if he meant you krit. i mean what are the odds?

I know I can't just make a career out of photoshop, Madnis. I'm currently taking two classes learning how to work in other programs. (Even if I hate inDesign, I still havta use it. :/ ) The other is Adobe Premiere, as I am taking Audio/Video Techniques. Soon, I'll have classes learning Illustrator, 3DSMax, Maya and all that good stuff. I'm just making things in photoshop right now as something to pass the time, and practice with that program as well. If I don't use it, I'll lose it, etc. Also, lol. Psylo's one of my favourite folks. ♥ Him.

i'm sorry, i'm dead tired and i currently can not really understand you. seriously. i've pulled two allnighters this week and i'm thanking god it's friday so i can sleep when i get home. social life and appearances be damned. i'm sleepy as fuck.

anyway, from what i'm gathering you're telling me something about taking classes. seriously don't listen to my commentary on here because i have literally no idea what the fuck i'm talking about right now. all i know is that i'm painting weights on this character and it's just about done. 3:40 pm... if i'm not done by 7... fuck i don't want to do no overtime. yeah. so.. have fun.

you're doing all right krit. i'm hella proud at how far you came up. even though i technically don't have any real right to say that, but at the same time, i noticed how far you came and knowing that you're still growing actually makes me smile. how about that. just about a total stranger made me smile on the internet. haha. that's funny to me. actually that's not an incredible feat. still. this is just about the only community that i acknowledge you all as people. facebook i tend to not friend people i don't know in person and here, well..... yeah. ya'll are people. hahahahaha if that makes sense. fuck i dont' want to go back to this work just yet. give me a moment.

oh. yeah. you. keep it up baby bird. that's more or less all i can say. you're an adult. I already trust that you know what you need to do. so, when i said that, it wasn't exactly directed at you. just reiterating shit. i'm the type to beat a dead horse que no? alrighty... i'll be watching.

also, keep your eyes posted on art forums and art websites (DA = crap). most people I know use DA as an art dump simply because of all the crap that's there already. a lot of people i know hate DA with a passion.

a while back there was a site called artxilla. awesome site. too bad it's gone now. but yeah, look for stuff akin to Cgtalk, AWN, conceptart.org, gamasutra but related to your career choice. and keep your eyes posted on that stuff for tutorials, FAQ's, conventions, etc.
also, look through magazines. one of the best resources available.

I think work is finally breaking me.

Woke up this morning, couldn't straighten my fingers or make a fist, it hurt so bad. Legs and back are starting to go to shit too.

I feel so goddamn old.
 
Madnis: Haha! I read all of that and understood about 95 percent of it! lol I know you weren't directing your previous post at me, specifically, I just thought I'd throw that in there. I don't take DA very seriously, but I do like a lot of the stuff I see. (Photography, mainly. Hopefully I can get into that as well. Maybe as I hobby.) At the moment, phong.com is my only source of tutorials. Well, that and links I've gotten from artists I know, etc. Knowing that you're just a tiny bit proud makes me smile, so thank you! xD Now I need to go find ideas for a Valentine's Day video/promo/whatever for Audio/Video Techniques. Bah.

Psylo: lol I know that was a joke, but seriously, ewwww. I've lived in Memphis for.. Let's say.. 8 years now? And I've never been to Graceland. It's in a pretty shitty part of town, and evidently now they're gonna make it into a Disney-esque theme park, only without rides? I'm all for them making attractions better, but they havta completely fuck it up at least half-way. That's the Memphis way. *bags are packed and ready to move at any moment* >:
