Raphael General Discussion

22aa looked good i was planning on adding it more to my game...

i prolly still will, just not as much...

66A is still a bad choice against Amy (though, most choices are) since it pretty much just asks to get 33B'd

2A is special low Q_Q
I use it a lot but it get TJ or worse autoGI

WS A is slow
WS B is easily stepped

against amy i use 44K also

22AA is good if you are spacing and turtling...it has a nice range if your opponent leaves you some distance you can use it well (unfortunately few will :( but raph at mid range is really a good character imho).

It deserve to be used 2K also ._. if CH is quite useful.

I use A+B A also.

Still none of those moves will help against a stepping TC opponent >.>
------------

Against amy i use
B
2A
4B
44K
2K
6B

on wake A+B

Dude, Raph's iWR A is useful, but don't make this out to be a ANTI-STEP SAVIOR

It's slow(i22), it's WR, it's -12 on block, and it only does 20 something damage. You think Amy and Taki are going to stop stepping you and getting inside based on this move? Keep dreaming...

It is his main mid ranged anti-step!

Raphael is about playing smart, of course it's not about spamming iWS A and hoping that you win the match. I'm just saying that Raphaels make the mistake of forgoing this move altogether.

And I think Amy and Taki or any other characters will stop stepping (or at the very least, be more hesistant), once they eat enough damage from trying to step.

ShenRii: I thought you said "abuse it till they stop stepping". iWS A is i22 + few frames for iWS. lets say we have ~i25 step killer. Thats not very good to abuse it. I dont think thats going to score a *hit* often unless opponent does 8wr. And it doesnt even deal enough damage.

I think it's best to use spacing for killing step.
