SC5 Weapon Ideas (JOKE WEAPONS INCLUDED)

The thing about a Trident is that it is most likely to be heaviest, slowest weapon introduced in the series so far (assuming rock and his giant mace leave) I don't see any character twirling it around without looking unbelievable. They don't call em Tiger Forks for nothing.
 
Yeah, the fact that they're aiming for a roster of about 20-30 characters, or something of about 26; at least as many as SCIV causes a little bit of concern for me. Yes, the less characters there are the greater chance of better balance, but if we don't expand the numbers much, we're either going to be seeing most of the same stuff we've seen throughout the existence of the series or we'll be losing a lot of what we have completely.

i found another style utilizing the same stick weapon. as usual, the chinese version of it plays in a much more flashy fashion and would fit soul calibur better, i guess.this would be a nice weapon for an old and grumpy lady or mister :)

 
did anyone mention twin chinese broad swords? basically yun seong with a sword in both hands.

there is also a spear and shield, like the spartans. but maybe that'll be weird to play. the shield is so big and the style of fighting requires the person to stay behind the shield. automatically too defensive and not good for this game.

trench knife? it'll be almost a hand to hand fighter but not. as hopefully as far from taki as possible. this is doable, must use a western fighting style.

what about those arm rings in that one chinese fighting style. no, this is a stupid idea. better to use gauntlets and grieves.

how bout a sword that is two put together? stances would be the big sword using both hands to hold, both swords out in regular grip, and both out and one is reverse grip. this can be fun.
 
kali sticks? that'd be really cool. really fast too.

or a cane! There is a french fighting style for fighting with a cane.
 
I think it would be really cool if someone had any of these weapons:

-Spiked Gauntlets and Boots (not all slithery like Voldo)
-Kusarigama
-Flail
-Chinese Iron Fan
-Bladed Yo-Yo (lol)
-Lance

Any of these would be cool IMO.
 
Polearm version vs dual hand-held versions ?
Ie:

Zas's death scythe or a pair of kama ? I think zas's animations are too good to be put to waste.
A trident vs a pair of sais ? That one is a lil trickier.
 
I would ask for:

Either a Musical Instrument of some sort. Like maybe a flute or Violin/guitar shaped instrument.
Or a Mace. But not the mace like Rocks. The Mace that has like the long handle but the ball of it has a chain and can extend out. :D
 
- Trident and net
- Dual swords
- Brass knuckles?
- Swinging mase and shield?
- Gilamesh?
- Gun-blade?
- Flail
- Breakable staff (in two)

- Bow and Dagger !!

But the cane was just a more modern/urban version of fencing used as self defense for gentlemens
At this point better canarian stick fighting or like you said, Kali sticks
 
I think it would be interesting to see a chain mace like Go-Go's from Kill Bill.

Um, those of you asking for a ball and chain or chain mace, how do you actually think the movelist would play out? I mean I cannot even begin to imagine a whole set based on that weapon.
Do you want a stance based set or something?
IMO, I don't see that working out :/
 
A pure chain based combat style would be interesting. My guess is that it would end up as a combination of Ivy and Maxi with more auto-GI.
