Why is it that every friggin Greek character with a sword also feels the need to hold a shield??? If Sophitia didn't have a shield I would have loved her. I wish there was someone who used a combination of Sophie and Cass's fighting styles without the shield. I kind of Xena Warrior Princess character.

Seriously you can fight with a hula hoop and a chain sword inside a volcano while jumping 15 feet in the air to land an Ariel combo.

over the top weaponry is not the only thing over the top about this game and its going to stay that way, It has been so since soul edge and it wont change, tira is no more over the top then taki with possesion and bombs or yoshimitsu and cerv for teleporting.

I say more over the top weaponry because those people tend to be the more popular and those people tend to have the more interesting and unique fighting styles, who gives a fuck if they exist or not? It leaves room for experimentation and change.

I always missed a simple and plain one sword moveset. Nothing complicated or fancy movesets or impressive weapons "horse sized", only a simple medieval sword.

A Kukri that would work both as melee weapon and throwing weapon

Claws but not in a...particular style as Voldo's, only a feral/ninja moveset

the grip is different girth than the blade, so unless he's holding a mechanical pencil by the lead tip, I don't see how that's applicable.
