SCV Character Creation Discussion

I'm wondering this myself. I mean, why not? Fat characters have their advantages and so do skinny characters.
skinny characters like ludovigo are definitely impossible to be recreated in SCV. with all body parts on their lowest settings, everyone is still very above-average broad-shouldered, well-defined to muscular and females still don't have a-cups with chest size set to -20....

That is one thing that I've been wandering about, in SCIV your CaS had the potential to not really have breasts at all on the -50 setting. But in SCV it seems the smallest you can get is a large B/low C cup.

yup. so much on the new "diversity"...

At least it's improved in all other aspects. More clothes, adjustable body (everyone won't have perfect hourglass figure while having a flat ass lol), more face options, face paint, and many more things I don't feel like listing. :D

Again, we have not seen 100% of it yet.
it's confirmed that the game is a 100% complete by now and the last time i checked (in the rating version given to mainstream gaming media), it remained unchanged. so i highly doubt they'll add another skinny-type setting before release. they. are. shipping.

i do agree that they've worked a lot on the overall improvement, though. still, i've always wanted to be able to make "normal" CAS characters instead of close-to supermodel type characters. -_-

I agree, epecially on the faces. I compared Cassandra's SC3 face to her SC4 face and man did they seriously screw her face up in SC4. I think the characters looked more natural and national oriented in the previous games, most notably 2 & 3 compared to 4.
Well I mean for the Creation mode's selective content, not for the main characters... I actually think SC4 Cassandra and Seung mina actually look really good. Its less anime-like and more realisticly detailed IMO. I'd more likely see girls with their new faces over their old ones walking down the street, SC3 people looked too perfect... however the opposite was done for Xaunghua as I've said before.

Well, not enough "new" face options to be exact.

The hairstyles are lacking as well, because it's all the hairstyles from the previous game+borrowed hairstyles from the roster, but this isn't the final build, so we'll see.

don't forget faces and equipment and the like might have to be unlocked first like they were in III. Or they expect us to buy everything through dlc...

I will agree that SCIV faces look more detailed. It felt realistic yet kept the fantasy intact. I mean, Seong Mi-na was easier to imagine in real life.....such as this pic....

Thus, I'd of course hit that so hard.

Humble opinion...

Herp derp yeah that looks nice. Naturally, everyone has to look like this or that for their nationality =/. But tell me, does anything on Mi-na's SCIV face look asian to you? I mean I love my asian chicks cosplaying and all, but being "asian" doesn't guarantee absolute win on fashion if it isn't pulled off correctly. This coming from a guy who used to be biased to think asians are the supreme cosplayers....

I'll have to recall the former post of yours.

Obviously, Seong Mina is Asian, and she would be Asian in real life. I was only going by what you said.

Yet Soul Calibur is a fantasy. I mean, Taki has giant boobs and that doesn't tell you to not be strict to thy beliefs? Oh well, I don't blame you for being coy and bending my words to your will. Just know that Pocky Yoshi isn't sit and chat about "oh Xianghua should look more asian" or so. That's kinda like saying, "you have to be this race to pull off this cosplay". I admit certain characters have to have those said nationalities and features of looks, but since I've seen certain cosplay pulled off by non-asians that make it look good, I've learn to break the trend of being too much into asian is the best cosplay.

On that note, I love cosplay and I think this will shut you up and your coy talks:

I love experimenting and trying out new things in CAS. Can't wait to customize. Pocky Yoshi has to go first since he is a mascot of a certain thread......

And it is also realistic, like you just said.

The link is not there btw, so.....you shutting me up didn't do much work. If at all.

When I say realistic, I meant it as the fantasy is believable. I don't know where you got the idea that it meant Seong Mi-na had to be asian. I mean, I honestly don't give a fuck if she look korean or not, I'm still gonna hit it since it's just a video game character I admire. Hell, she looks like a more attractive Julia Chang if you ask me. I don't blame you for bending my words yet again since this is the internet.

As for the link, click on the photos and look for Cosplayers album. Most are asian, but you'll see a well done Zelda or Team Rocket people for instance. http://www.facebook.com/PockyYoshi
