I'm not sure yet,but i think she ties up the opponent with her whip,then lift him up by controling parts of the whip "just like she did in her SC4 Critical finish" then finished him of with those attacks!

Her finish didn't use the whip to tie them up, it had weird symbol...magic stuff. That's why I didn't like it very much.
Her Critical Edge attack.. The very start, she shoots her whip straight up, then pushes the guy to their knees, turns away, and they start floating. I don't get how. :x
It's probably her whip, because after it extends straight up, she only has the handle..

How's this for my Ivy wish-list, when we make one?
"1.) Control over which state you're in, at all times, like in IV. I loved having control over the states. It gave option for a LOT more unique combos.
2.) More moves using her armored arm. I think having a few moves in Sword State using the armored arm would be very cool.
3.) Use the long-haired sketch from SC4. That was, in my opinion, the best 2P Ivy sketch I've ever seen, and I was kind of upset that it wasn't chosen over the Belle one..
4.) Make her current move Coil 1A like it was in SC3, so it doesn't have to be countered/impacted to do the second part. It moves away and has very short range, so it's hard to use it in battle.
5.) Previous costumes available for download, preferably all costumes for all characters, though just the 1P costumes would be great! I've talked to lots of fans who agree.

It sounds as though she isn't going to have all three states in SCV. It looks like she'll have 2 states which will make it harder for combos..

Yes, and that's why I want to stress having control over the states like we did in SC4. Being downgraded to SC2/3 would be awful, seeing as we'd have nooooo combos.. >.<

IDK.... from the vid I saw, I didn't see any stance change. either they are still working on it or they might take out stance change completely and have 2 version of most moves, 1 for short range and 1 for long range

...I like that Namco made the move of covering her up instead of going for a string bikini, but this wasn't exactly the best they could've done. This costume is a literal downgrade from her SCIV costume and its interesting and exotic design, since they basically turned her SC3 1P purple and threw a jacket on her. Now she looks like a prostitute on the street corner, wearing a tiny leather jacket to keep her melons warm at night.
I would've preferred she actually gone classy and went for something similar to her SC3 and SCIV 2P costumes, and grown her hair out like in her concept art. Otherwise, they just kinda ruined everything that is purely Ivy.

Well, I do think her SCV art has her the most beautiful she's been in YEARS, but throwing a jacket on a recycled costume seems incredibly lazy for Namco.

I actually like the jacket touch. It classes her up a lot, and doesn't look that bad. I wish it were more like the Art, so her boobs weren't covered up as much, but it's still amazing.

They said they're going to have Whip and Sword state, so it's even more vital that we have control over the states, because taking both a stance and control away would severely damage Ivy's combo possibilities. :x

Based video, I think that you're only in sword state with the ability to make most moves into whip, I'd guess by holding the button. This isn't bad, and it should be fine combo-wise.. I'm going to miss having control.. :x
I also think her (current input) WP 3{B} ~ SP B.B.B doesn't even go in serpent's for V, and it seems as though it's ONLY just-capable. The person using her seemed to try for multiple hits but could never get it.

im sad, and almost angry that theres going to be a SC 5... i've put a lot of time and effort into learnign ivy for SC 4, now ill have to do it all over again.... :( just learned SS and CS....
