SCV Tier List

No way is Ivy in the same league as Aeon and Raphael. Just... no. On top of that, Natsu is way too low (even if she isn't the best, she's definitely in the top 5).

Those are the two most glaring errors. But I do like how you haven't written off Viola straight away. :)

sad thing nobody will notice....
At first glance raph seems so good....

But most people abandon him just before grasping concept like the inconsistence of SE, prep and the huge risk he has having to rely on low damage HIGHS and low pokes

its a pity that a crouch will punish both for half health.....so gambling screw raph unless you guess right 9 times out of 10

At least i can say i am the best raphael user in italy.....
The only one also :D

Wheras Myself, Pantocrator and a group of other players say he is weak and needs a serious buff, nevermind nerfs. =P
I still hope that things will make sense once the patch is out, like say a global nerf for everyone (this would actually be really cool).
Because, is there even a single person out there who thinks that sieg needs a nerf? I see opinions ranging from "he is horrible" to "he is ok/good". Right now, it makes no sense at all for sieg to receive a nerf, imo.

And I'd say you all need to start playing like kPc then, or at least ask him why he thinks Siegfried is good. I'm sure he can give you a far better explanation than I ever could.

I'm not sure I follow, unless of course you're referencing that mark (in this case, 18 months) wherein everyone learns to JG shit on reaction.

So Maxi is being nerfed in the next patch? What about Natsu?
This is just speculation dude, we don't know about nerfs, just the french players speculating. And as per Daishi he prefers to buff the weak instead o nerf the strong.

Maxi is the new Amy ^_^
No he is perfectly beatable if you invest a lot of time in this matchup. But its very hard and frustrating for newer players, I think.
Still Id hate to see him change. He is far from unbeatable, just hard to learn and master. I wouldnt want to see his stance game changed even a bit. I think his damage is ok too ^_^
I wish all character stances were more like Maxi's where you have answer to everything.

But of course, I dont know all matchups, maybe, for some characters, Maxi is truly deadly )
That's a huge factor in Maxi's gameplay; the fact that it takes time to learn that match up. It's discouraging. Good thing is, this particular match up filters out the lazy/ignorant from the people who do their homework, when in discussion.

Top tier characters?
Mitsu, Maxi, Alpha, Nightmare - definitely
Most other characters look very good also.

Right now the really weak characters that stand out I think are ZWEI and Hilde. But game is new, so I dont know.

I would have to disagree about Maxi being top tier material. He has too many holes in his game. I'm glad they made some of these holes less "wider" but the holes are still there. You are right, though. Maxi does have an answer to almost every counter, during stancing. Which is what makes him viable (along with his DMG) as least, right now in the game.

Also, sword
Ivy is a very stripped down character with limited good moves. Her grabs are easier to break now, her 1K is more unsafe than ever, her 214B would be great, but it is unsafe on block AND disadvantage on hit, her 1B BE is just guard and GIable, etc. Ivy is either precisely where she should be or she's too high on my list.

Her grab game looks like it did take a nerf. Her 1K is now unsafe(r), as it should be. Her 214B, however, is great still. It does it's job, it evades/TC. It's -14 on GRD, which is unsafe, but not INCREDIBLY unsafe. It's definitely a good move.

Your comment on her BE's is on point, though. They're easily GI/JG-able. You can also step to her right on 1B BE.

However, she is still good. Her grab game did take a nerf, but it's still something to fear. Her spacing game is not the best, but works (can). Her BE's seem shitty, to the knowledgable player, but perhaps her meter use is best used for CE? GI? Combos? Which there's nothing wrong with that. Her Guard game is 'good.' Her RO game is is good. Her movement is good, mainly her backstep. She's solid. Maybe not high tier material; but definitely not low.

boosting...nerfing

This game needs balance...
Every character included raph, zwei and sieg has his broken moves.....
In scIV we had good moves and situational moves.

In scV we have broken moves and useless moves

Nerf and boost the moves NOT the characters....characters needs balance.
I don t wanna see godlike wrBE with players saying "we have just that" (aside it being wrong) or whiffing moves that keeps priority and rapes guard or half health i12 punishers etc etc etc.

I don t care if characters have other weaknesses with a system like this matchups will be one sided forever :|

It sucks to think wich half of your moveset you cannot use against every character.....

This game is really the celebration of low risk safe spammable moves....thing you couldn t do in scIV

Sieg will not get a nerf, even if namco listens to the community as you are saying they already now he is one of the weakest characters on the game, besides what else is to be nerf about him? Give PS some credit, they are not stupid, they know to which complains to listen to and to which don't. The next patch should buff both Ivy and Sieg, both need it. We won't get a perfectly balance game but at least something better than crap calibur IV.

don't really wanna comment on tiers right now.... or what i think Siegfried is high/mid/low tier.... honestly to me all characters tiers are relatively vague right now.... so it's hard to even draft out anything.

but just wanna mention.... 8WR doesn't equate to the community and I sometimes wonder if there's even half the community (hardcore players) in here....

so despite the fact that there seems to be many outspoken players on 8WR that might agree with one thing.... the rest of the community might not agree.... honestly.... if anything I think namco is more likely gonna listen to players they worked with before or players in Japan... and at most Asia...

fortunately (and can say unfortunately ....) they are not really gonna listen to too many people here.

Regardless... whenever there's a new patch.. no matter how much work Namco (or any developers) has put in to figure out the best balance for everyone....... the patch could be "perfect".... there will be people that will say Namco (or the other developers) is retarded for nerfing something they shouldn't nerf.... or buffing something that they should never buff... or making useless changes to certain moves, etc..... and those people who are complaining will always be the most outspoken players.....

from my perspective SO FAR...... SC5 is the most balanced SC for now...simply because.... nobody can agree who's top and who's bottom...

I don't "QFT" very often but this, especially the bolded text.
