SCV Videos From SCR 2011 By TagYouRPregnant

TagYouRPregnant has been working hard to provide us with videos from the latest public build of Soulcalibur V which is being played this weekend at SoCal Regionals 2011. The videos show off the four newest characters to be revealed (Xiba, Aeon, Yoshimitsu, Cervantes), along with the second player outfits for the new and existing characters.

fo sho, after watching Xiba's gameplay.

 

Xiba looks really awesome. He's got plenty of new animations, making him way more than just a Kilik/Mina clone. The animations are very stylish as well, very playful and visually appealing.

I like what they did with Aeon's moves too. Even though they're recycling Kratos and Spawn animations, plenty of people weren't able to play those characters because of their console restrictions. Overall, I think it's a great improvement in Aeon's design.

Cervy and Yoshi look more-or-less the same. Cervy's BE GDR looks pretty scary though.

EDIT: Also, WTF is up with Astaroth's 2P outfit?

 

Cervantes looks much slower than he used to be but maybe my eyes deceive me. That BBB string looks very risky to do.

 

I'm hoping for a new reveal today. There should be about 7-8 characters left

 

Vids of this game tend to look slower than the actual game when you play it, from what I've noticed.

I was hoping for some big changes to Cervy, but as it is now I'll probably just move on to new characters. I've been playin dude for too long, I want something fresh lol. At least they gave him his old 1aB unblockable back, along with old school 2a+b. b2 in juggles still looks weak as shit.

 

Keep in mind that the YouTube videos are in 30fps and not 60fps.
