So....Setsuka Players....

Why would the developers release DLC of the replaced characters, if you can already make the old characters in CaS mode perfectly(just without their original voice) like they've proven with Cassandra on a live stream?

It would be a rip-off considering it would just be new skins

Can't use CAS characters in a tournament, though. Just preference, I suppose! If you're right that it's just some new skins, then maybe if they do something like that it will be cheaper.

So I guess it doesn't rain where you are from.

Saying "umbrellas are gay" is beyond ignorance. That's like saying wearing sunglasses are gay, and I know Terminator wouldn't like hearing that.

No Umbrellas make people happy. lol

But honestly, "Gay" has to be the most idiotic word these days, because it has so many definitions.

This statement is a farce, Setsuka's wagasa (which is a parasol, not an umbrella) would be completely useless in the rain. Parasols are for women, especially of the old and asian variety. Thus, a man wielding a parasol would instantly register as a colossal gay in my eyes.

The term parasol is derived of "for the sun". Wagasa, of course is not for the rain, because of how the paper is made.

HOWEVER.....there are also bangasas, used for the rain, and are unisex.

Don't believe me?

But even then, parasols aren't primarily for women. It's more of a design-choice (ex. Setsuka's 2P weapon design)

This is the first thing that has bugged me so far, taking out Setsuka and giving her move to a mimic character. Instead of doing this, why not copy/paste the SCIV Setsuka model and throw it in as a "bonus" character. Setsuka had style, beauty, and deadliness. There was no need to make it a guy.

a lightweight umbrella used, especially by women, as a sunshade.

PS, Vergil from devil may cry, NOW I HAVE THE PERFECT STYLE FOR HIM!

That's one out of many dictionaries that state the "especially women" part. Again I say, both Parasols and Umbrellas are unisex. It's a design choice.

I felt the umbrella, or parasol, added more "uniqueness" and the designs differentiated largely from Mitsurugi's sword designs, which I bet will be the opposite for Alpha Patroklos other designs, unless they go all out with it.

But nonetheless, people wanted a Iaido user containing a regular katana, and they got it, I guess.

NOt this again, just deal with it, setsuka isnt play much to the story after all. She only seeks revenge, then?

My anger knows no boundaries when it comes to finding out the replacement of Setsuka was wasted on the likes of a character known as Alpha-Pat....... somebody tie my balls in a knot, connect it to a car, and drag my ass until I die...... please?

I posted that definition so that people could see that "its not an umbrella, its a parasol" is NOT true because parasols ARE umbrellas! but honestly Tenchu: Fatal Assassins's final boss used a parasol with a hidden blade just like setsuka... but when setsuka uses it, it looks really female... when a man used her style he looked terrible... patroklos seems pretty decent

You probably also think that Pansexuality is a thing too, I bet.

I don't care about anyone else's sexuality like that.

But I'm just stating the obvious.

I've actually seen more than that. A lot of male characters use one in Naruto. Some attack with it. I've seen one movie where one umbrella user, who is male, decapitates an opponent with one. I think it's called "Seven Swords".

You should cite examples where parasols are acceptable for men to use in the west, instead of a land that also invented tentacle porn and GEDDAN.

Replaced characters aren't much of a problem, even though Setsuka (or a worthy replacement anyways) is my personal exception. PS could do skins for that.

It's actually those whose styles aren't there (Talim, Yun, Zasalamel), and of course there is Bangoo. I bet the time constraints were a big deal for this matter, and with PS not doing much after the release, besides maybe promoting, DLC might be the direction it will likely take.

Since when did it have to be acceptable for the West? As much as I do understand that the West and Japan have different appeals, everything doesn't have to please the West only, especially since the game itself wasn't made there.

The Seven Swords is a Cantonese film BTW.

I have a theory that Setsuka's style was suppose to be for Mitsurugi brother, but they ran out of time to make a character model. So they scraped the idea, changed Mitsurugi's story, and gave the complete move set to Pat to keep Setsuka fans happy. :)

You're trying to explain to a man who clearly hails from the West that parasols don't look gay... in another goddamn continent with different social norms. You aren't winning me over here, but god only knows you're trying.

Back on topic though, I could care less that Setsuka isn't in the game. She had no gravity in the SC universe, and instead they gave her moves to somebody that does.
