So tomorrow you come in to $2,000,000...

My question to you 8WR community is what do you do with it?

Personally I would spend most of it on clothing and school. And the rest can go to travelling. Ever since I was small I've always loved seeing new things and getting around. Whut 'bout Y'all?

Assuming I can't save any of it and can't use it on anything boring...

1) 1967 Shelby GT500

2) German Flak 88mm 37 L/56

3) The rest as Gas and Ammo for the above

A real Zweihander just for the hell of it, an extremely top end computer custom built and the worlds most expensive custom arcade stick with carbon fiber casing just to show off.
Then I'd save the rest. Lol

1) Pay off my school debts.
2) Go back to school for a more useful degree... without having to worry about aid.
3) Buy a better car... one that's not used... but probably electric. o3o TeslaMotors cars go for 100 grand.

It's too modern-looking for my tastes but whatever. That or a hydrogen car like what's featured in part 2 of the video below. o3o
4) Start working on a an alternative house based mostly off hydrogen and solar. Run out of money.

That Corvette's pretty dope!

Open up my own "arcade"; get all the best equipment and set it up to run tournaments and games all year round...

Basically... become Henry Cen.

Buy a bad ass house in San Fran and a summer home somewhere nice.
Buy a couple apartment complexes in an expensive ass area to rent out and w/e I have left, invest.

Invest some of the money in stocks, pay stuff off, buy games and other stuff then save the rest for events that would come into my life.

smart. I would do more or less the same except i would also add on office space. businesses and what not need to grow somewhere. that and a Lexus LFA and a merc SLR, and invest the rest.

I think it's best to either invest it on a company that'll succeed or buy something that'll bring in more money in the future instead of spending it all on materialistic objects that will last me for a couple months.
I can always do that later when I am swimming in a pool full of money. :P

Smart. If I only knew of a business I could bank on succeeding... I had a friend who owned an apartment complex in Edmonton Alberta. He always had a lot of time on his hands (played world of warcraft like a fiend) and never hurt for money. Not to steal anyone else's idea but it might not be a bad idea to buy one. My initial thoughts are though to go back to school.

I like you 8WR people. What with all this investing and buying summer homes and stuff. And great taste in cars from what Google is showing me. Smart d00dz lol

First off, pay off all student loans/debt. Second, spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $500k on a condo/loft(that amount of money goes a LONG way in Houston), bought in cash, furnished entirely in HermanMiller/Eames furniture. Get a brand new Steelcase Leap Worklounge for my desk chair. As for cars, I want an imported LHD diesel Land Rover Defender 90(either ragtop or wagon, not sure), a 964 Turbo(best looking 911 ever, would swap for an RS America), and an Alpina B7 for my daily driver. I'd want to pay off my parent's mortgage so they can actually retire and pay off my little sister's student loans, but that gets hairy with their taxes because it is registered as income for them, would defer to my accountant friend for advice on that. I'd book trips to Le Mans and the Belgian GP this year, and a couple snowboarding trips in Japan and Switzerland. Lastly, I'd take the remaining $600-700k and give it to my friend who works at GoldmanSachs to put into some investments, with the goal of having 3-5% annual return on it for some nice residual income. I wouldn't quit my job, because I like it, and with 0 debt, life is easy.

I would have a garage full of hot rods that would make Jay Leno jealous!!
