Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I would say it's fairly reasonable to piece the connection that "Lizardman Chief" is Aeon Calcos, in the same way as "The White Giant" is Rock.
Thats pretty much confirmed. In Astaroth's story after fighting a spartan, he comments about how that style reminds him of Lizardman's. Plus Nightmare names Lizardman "Base Vert", which was the same title he gave Aeon in SC1

The strange description of the Seong Dojang makes me think they might add this as a stage later on...
Perhaps there are hidden stages that have to be unlocked by beating extremely specific enemies at a particular time of day on a specific stage. That or much more likely it's the training grounds we see in Practice mode and Create-A-Soul mode.

@HydroJames and anyone else concerned about their PC being able to handle SoulCalibur VI, I just found this Tweet saying it's smooth on 60fps using a GTX 950, so upgrading is likely not necessary if you have this or better, which is probably most of you planning on playing on PC, if I had to guess:

I'm picking up the game on PC and PS4 but I am aiming to play PC but with a 970 if it isn't capable I'll switch to PS4.

In coordinance with my previous tidbit regarding the Seong Dojang:

The way Seong Mi-na's story is designed like one big flashback to her adventure with Hwang, it almost feels too perfect as a stepping stone into introducing Yun-seong into the storyline, what with Mi-na seeing a bit of herself in him and enabling him to go out there by stealing White Storm and giving to him, so that he may achieve the same "soul-searching journey" she experienced. If he is a DLC character, maybe we'll even get the Seong Dojang as a stage with him.

I Knew it!!!

I think the description of the Dojang is a callback to the secret Mission Mode missions in the original SC that you get by hovering Korea.

Throwbacks like that are giving this one some charm. Heck I’m sure that the ugly guy in Mi-Na’s story is the same one in her SC1 ending.

Also think her story involving the Lizardmen is a reference to her SCIV story where she has her first battle against them.

And of course they got around the dao with her father’s students using different styles than expected.

SoulCalibur is also very much atypical, in a lot of ways, so you never really know. But believe in Amy's mantra about hope and you'll never be disappointed.
