Now that you mention it, I could see Lizardman being revealed alongside Astaroth since they're connected via Schwarzstrom. Plus they're gonna have to start revealing more than 1 character per month. There's 4 months left and 9* remaining roster slots.

*Technically 10, but it seems like one of those slots will be for CaS.

CAS is separate I believe.

If they were planning on bringing Algol back in the future, it might be interesting, but the problem I could see with it is that Arcturus's story takes place back in the ancient times, so by the time SoulBlade/SoulCalibur happens, he's been dead for a really long time. The only way that he could exist would be if he was reanimated by Zasalamel or the like, but without Algol being present, I don't really see a reason why this would happen.

Beyond that, his canonical weapon is Soul Edge (Nauplius), and there's a very high chance that Nightmare would have this weapon, assuming that there will be multiple weapons available for each character again (which, with CaS being a thing, more or less would be a given). So unless he brought a really unique way to wield a greatsword, somehow, he would be redundant, and even if he did, we would just be in another Sophitia/Lizardman/Cassandra situation, so I can't really see his inclusion having a positive effect on the roster.

I dig it. Not sure it'd fit the timeline. But, I guess since it's a new timeline, then continuity is new and anything can be fair game.

And speaking of new characters, I hope that's what they reveal tomorrow, along w/ a returning classic like Voldo or Cervantes. A two-fer!

I don't think we'll get all the characters revealed before launch. Usually they keep quiet about a few characters as an extra suprised. So don't expect every character to get a trailer before the launch of the game, but... expect a few more. Especially with CEO being this weekend and Gamescom coming soon.
