Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I must say, I am on board with Inferno (mainly because I think he looks cool, which is shit logic, I know). But, I think you have raised a very good point. I concede; it doesn't seem like a good way to compensate for SCV.
What's funny is there's been three sword and shield type characters since Soulcalibur II (given Lizardman had an axe and shield but the concept was the same) and no one had a problem until SCV even though all three styles played completely differently.

I'm not a fan of Nightmare or his style but I don't see anything wrong with having three zweihander styles, admittedly I'd prefer if Inferno had a more unique zweihander and wasn't just a modified Nightmare but I personally don't mind the three style situation.

@ColColton that's also a good perspective.
There are so many different takes on some of these roster choices! Damn.
Also I agree it's ironic that no one noticed repetition of sword and shield styles until V and then were suddenly up in arms.

It's easy to forgive clones when you have a 30+ character roster. It's different when your game only beats SFV in roster size, and at least SFV had free DLC characters.

Also the content in this game is pretty good. It's certainly at least comparable to III in terms of game modes.

Lizardman talking like a human is pretty damn funny, though I find it weird that they gender lock the lizards but don't voice-lock them? Makes more sense that they can be either gender than it does to let them speak like humans, lol.

Also I gotta say out of all the CAS NPCs I've seen in Libra and Story so far, the one called 'Daniel' is by far the most interesting, both in design and personality. The rest all feel like they barely spent any time on their designs.

Jeez my heart aches for this game. The amount of hours I've spent watching gameplay wishing it was me.

Here's some good seigfried gameplay with Japanese VAs.

Inferno is just a waste of a slot. Hopefully he's in the middle.

Why even bother with Nightmare when you can use Inferno?

Because Inferno's a boss and won't be tournament legal. It's just for fun, he doesn't replace Nightmare at all, just like Abyss didn't replace Zasalamel.

Also, playable or not, they were making Inferno anyway, it's not a waste of anything, they literally just flicked a switch to make him playable. We're not losing any other character because he's in. I'm honestly hoping he's not in the middle as that's the only chance the other slots might be unlockables at all.

Check out this super early gameplay of SC6 Inferno! He looks badass!
