Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Whaddya reckon guys: SCIII was the fastest followed by SCVI or SCII? And which was slowest: SCIV or V?

BTW, do you think the blurring of the backgrounds in SCVI is to help the speed?

Does anyone know if you pre order the digital deluxe version on PSN, if you will get the digital soundtrack?

Currently both the normal & deluxe versions just say you get a theme for pre ordering, but the deluxe is more expensive. What's the difference?

It was indicated a while back before her reveal. Also, Vergeben DID tease the idea of a new dark-skinned barbarian female, which may or may not be included in the game sooner or later.

Unfortunately, there is a small probability of a conflict with the copyright holder (Grace Jones, remember "Conan The Movie"?)
Fortunately, the previous cases of creating a game hero from a real actor or singer, did not lead to a conflict. Van Damme = Johnny Cage, Axel Rose = Axl Low, Desireless ("Voyage, voyage") = Benimaru

How can one person own a copyright to a concept as broad as "dark-skinned barbarian"? In fact, I'm pretty sure you can't just freely copyright a concept like that.

Laws on ownership limits not only complete and 100% copying, but too strong resemblance.
Cases of punishment for too strong a similarity are rare, but they do exist.
For example, scandal with a King of Fighters 2002. When due to the too strong similarity of the K9999 to the hero of anime "Akira", he had to be replaced by a Nameless.

I think it'd be pretty easy to make her not resemble Grace Jones too much.

I know I'm a little late but...

DOUBLE BINGO!!

It's even with Raph, my main from all the past games. Was I psychic with my bingo card prefrences? Raphael looks soooooo interesting in VI and I love that he has his shadow evades, prep, and auto evades. SOOOO awesome. Lots of low options too and a new launcher stolen from his SCV CE. I wonder if he has any unique mechanics? The little side cape as homage to his later Alucard-ish capes is clever too! Fantasy realized!

Yeah...I don't think your grace Jones thing will work.

1. We have enough characters with swords in the game.

2. She needs a shirt of some kind.

3. That 5 O'clock shadow.

Yeah MK1 was full of rip-offs:

Johnny Cage = JCVD
Liu Kang = Villian from Bloodsport
Kano = Terminator
Sub-Zero/Scorpion = Michael Dudikoff(American Ninja)
Raiden = That other rice hat guy from Big Trouble in Little China, is even electric too xD
Sonya = Red Sonja?

Yep. I'd actually prefer a character like the Grace Jones from Conan (assuming she is written well). The character that was described to us is more like that creature from YuGiOh that someone posted a few pages ago. I don't prefer that personally. -_-
