Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

It's really not a bad thing they focused on more classic fighters than new characters, it also make sens because of SC6 story being a reboot like. And 2 fully new characters isn't really that bad, and those are new new no replacing anyone in the game.

Geralt can also be considered as a new character too, so it's 3 new characters, just like SC3 and more than SC4. SC5 had more but we also need to consider that most were replacements.

I'm already starting to seriously like Geralt with all the recent footages, i hope they be able to bring him back in the future in a way like Kratos with Aeon.

You just counted Geralt as a new character but didnt count Vader, Yoda and Apprentice.

I'd personally count Amy as new in 4 because the majority of the public didn't even have access to SC3ae and i honestly dont know what that movelist was like. If it was actually her SC4 movelist or if it was more similar to that generic rapier in SC3.

In any case, SC4 had 6 total movelists that were not available in SC3.

I dont know if anybody sent a support ticket to steam yet so i did.

I don't get that comparison, Tekken 7 was release in February 2015 with 20 characters and 8 stages .SC6 is a new game that isn't even out yet (but very very soon yesss)

Leaving out key information about Tekken 7's release content is coming across as deliberally misleading. Tekken 7 in 2015 was arcade only and was basically the beta for the console release. If you're going to do an "honest comparison" then you have to it by console release, in fact the version of Tekken 7 on console isn't even the same edition that was released in arcade.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution console release.
Characters - 37
Stages - 20

Soul Calibur 6 console release.

Characters - 21
Stages - 12

So to sum up Tekken 7 has 16 more characters and 8 more stages on console release compaired to Soul Calibur 6 console release. So please stop down playing the facts because these types of defence arguments are getting absurd.

Also to clarify I don't even think Soul Calibur 6 should aim for the same character parity as Tekken 7 because the character pool for the Soul Calibur legacy cast is a lot smaller but to make out we're being spoiled in comparision when we know that at release there will be missing legacy characters is insulting to people's intelligence.

Harada straight up said arcade is half of Tekken's earnings. Ignoring that T7 has effectively double the budget (at least) and double the (active) dev time and comparing only the launch releases is pretty revisionist.

I've been rewatching all reveal trailers and I've been wondering... How will CaS handle Kilik's and Azwel's Soul Charges? Do you think they'll simply skip that step? I dare say it's why I do believe myself...
I don't think they'll change aesthetically. They'll just get the new moves and stance-change if there's one.

I think most of us know that the more popular something is the more content can be added as the greater returns give the option to do things that would be considered a high monetary risk. Hopefully the sales exceed Bandai Namco's targets so we get more DLC characters and having a more complete package leaves a stronger legacy and better chance of stronger sales for future games later down the road.

Requires a debate that causes some people to go completely bonkers so forget about it. Needless to say I agree the one of my few complaints about six is being too much of a sausage fest.
It's called Cognitive Dissonance! :D People are so stupid as you know...

"On July 1 1916, 11 British divisions attacked on a 13 mile front. Six German divisions began spraying the attackers who were advancing in neat rows, “to maintain order.”

A German machine gunner wrote, “We were surprised to see them walking, we had never seen that before. The officers went in front. One was carrying a walking stick…When we started to fire, we just had to load and reload. They went down in their hundreds. We didn’t have to aim, we just fired into them. “

Over a million men died; 58,000 on the first day."

I do think it could benefit from more female characters new or old... but i think it could benefit from new or old characters regardless

but a problem though?

would it be a problem if the roster was mostly women with two new female characters and a female guest? not for me at least, so why should it be the other way.
