Soulcalibur V Art/Wallpapers

Yeah sure thing. The video is 720p native resolution but I can just expand the BG plate to accommodate a large size. I'll take care of this later tonight when I get back home from work.

No, this does not mean I found any "voicebyte" and I really don't know what you mean by that, much less should we even have this discussion here openly in the public forums.

Anyways, here is a larger wallpaper as requested.

Siegfried ~ "Heaven's Light" @ 1920 x 1200

The "Azure" knight in a moment of solitude as he looks high above towards the majestic heavens, a beacon of light. ....or maybe he's being abducted by aliens who plan on doing some god-awful things.

(crop to needed size if necessary)

Unfortunately, to get Siegfried any larger would require retaking the shot or resample to a larger size but it won't yield the higher picture quality. So instead I just opted to make the background plate larger and foreground element the same size/resolution (approx. 720p).

Some old stuff -

Been busy with things at work so I haven't had much time to post new stuff here. As far as some creative SC stuff, I'm juggling between 3 active projects at the moment. Also starting next month, I want to get a head start on the next Christmas video so I don't cram and force myself at the last moment.

As mentioned in my previous posts, I've been experimenting with trying to make the game look more like film so I've been messing around a lot with color-grading some footage and adding noise to emulate film grain. I went back and tried some of those techniques on some old projects and had some varying results. Here are some still images from those sessions which make for some nice piece of art/wallpaper. (Again sorry for resolution cap at 720p - native resolution from the film).

These were taken from the ending sequence of a video I made back in 2010 called "Cassandra's Training". Of course in that video there was text all over the screen since it was part of the rolling credits footage at the end.

Anyways, I didn't want to go back and re-do all those old films again (I already redone it once already, re-filming all the shots from SD -> HD). I'm too busy with new stuff and I want to move forward. Maybe I'll revisit the idea at a later time. So instead I just decided to release the ending sequence in its entirety without the rolling text so people can get better view of what's going on.

Again, Youtube's recompression suck (even in HD). So here's a link to the high quality H264 version for anyone who's interested (431MB).

The old method to remove overlay graphics and text like the blinking "replay", SC logo, "start" or some button command was done painstakingly by hand in After Effects. I had to either draw/paint or clone areas over frame by frame (well key frames at least since computer interpolates in between) just as you would do for still images in Photoshop but many times over. Then apply some blend effect like blur if applicable (like the above as it was meant to be a dreamy flashback montage). It's a pain in the ass and very time consuming boring process making the workflow all that much longer. I had to do this mostly for intro / outro sequences wherever I needed a "clean screen". Otherwise in every other situation, to make things easier, I simply used an overlay text/graphic watermark to cover up things like "replay".

I dont have to do any of that anymore since I've took it upon myself to delve into the heart of the game and found means to remove any/text graphics all together (and then some). Needless to say, the specific method I am not allowed to discuss here but it involves engaging the alpha channel on text/graphic to make it "invisible". All of this has speed up the process cutting the workflow time in half or more.

Spent some time messing around with layers 'n' such and found out how to do this.

I was quite pleased with the results.

Edit: Also, I remade the video I used to fancy for a profile picture on here but I never got around to paying for it. :b

Youtube slaughtered the quality, but that's 'kay. It's still fun.

It's funny 'cause I didn't mess with the audio at all and Jolly Tira gets "censored" by Gloomy..

Jolly's saying "I'll **** your corpse!"

The second recordings turned my mic on for whatever reason so there's an echo.
