I also started turning the SC2HDO Asty avatar into Algol

It's been a while since I've worked on it again, but it'll get there eventually.
The shading/detailing on the abs was the hardest part.

~Merry Christmas ~
Here's some clean stills from the fan film I made last Christmas.

Sorry I didn't have time to make a new film this year. Had to finish stuff at work in order to wrap things up before the year's end. Then there was also family commitments I needed to attend to. Anyways, here's the full video if interested to download. It's a very high quality H264 version which is way way better than what you get through streaming (Youtube). Some color correction and grading was done to give it a more cinematic look.

It's been years since I've done sketches by free hand but after attending a recent comic event and seeing all these amazing artists, I did a quick sketch to see if I still had it in me. Here's a quick scribble I did of Ivy - using a mechanical pencil on paper:

It's rough and I think I could do another one better since I didn't have any references at the time. I use to draw a lot - mostly throughout high school and a little bit throughout my college years - I also messed around with oil painting and gouache but as years went by, got a job (and then got older , no "old" ~ lol) I just did less and less of this stuff since I was either too busy or preoccupied with something else. Anything creative was mostly done in digital related to film editing and effects. But I think maybe I should get back into this stuff. It's kind of nice to just draw for a change for simply art sake.

I think maybe it's time I get myself one of those Wacom Cintiq graphic display tablets where you can draw right on the screen. I've been wanting to get one for a long time now but never committed myself but I may just get one now since the technology more mature and I could practice and learn other things like digital coloring.

You should definitvly get a drawing tablet, it's like a whole new world. If not used only for drawing, you can also use it for making details really stand out in photos and what not.

I have an old Intuos which I use sometimes for photo touch ups among other things but I never really liked it for pure drawing because I could never get the drawing accuracy like paper - Never got the hang of looking at a computer screen while drawing on the graphic input tablet, always reverted back to the trusty ol' mouse. I'm sure the newer Intuos line are more accurate since they doubled the pressure sensitivity and have other things like angle recognition. But I figure if I'm gonna get into this I might as well just go full blown and get a "draw-on what you see" kind of tablet like the Cintiq since its almost like drawing on paper with all the benefits of going digital.

Update: I pulled the trigger. I just ordered a Cintiq 13HD.

I think you'll be happy with what you got. The draw on screen tablets look amazing, unfortunatly I never got the chance to try one out for myself :(
If you're missing that "accuaracy" though, try using Adobe Illustrator, that program have some kind of auto refine lines build in. Like, you draw a squiggly line and just a second after it transforms into a brilliant looking one - I'm assuming you already know this though xD

Happy (Ivy) VALENTINE's day!
I was going to do a video but I had other stuff to take care of. Anyhow here is a recent wallpaper image of Ivy I made which is revision of earlier version but a bit more risque. Hence hidden in spoiler link and tagging as NSFW. It's not overtly bad (wet t-shirt) but being conservative depending on people's temperment or social environment.

Actually they were reposted later in the thread with high-res versions. But all the same, the links you got there is more convenient.
