They haven't announced a date yet; they probably will at E3. My guess is the adapter will be released alongside the game in the winter.

Don't miss out on the pro controller though, it's an amazing piece of hardware and well worth the price. There's deals all the time anyways, I'm subscribed to /r/wiiu and post great deals on games and hardware all the time.
