The Cepheus Store thread

I've heard reports that all we'll be getting on Tuesday are the maid outfits and the rest release towards the middle to the end of April and more come in another month. Hopefully I'm wrong with the one DLC pack releasing Tuesday.

The SC3 faces and Hair should have been a pack, I mean WTF, it had at least double the content in SC5.. which is ALL just recycled crap from SC4.. (in that area) Literally.

If thats true then thats a lot of horse-shit PS has to clean up before I walk through their funny farm again. I mean, why do they think we care about maid outfits and other perverted crap made for stereotypically unpredictably horny otakus... the Default Costume editing thing should be the first tool they release and the only pack I honestly care about. (That and the potiental Tekken outfits). I'm not paying for some stupid and generic maid outfits...

The store is supposed to have monthly updates, so I'm pretty sure that's wrong. Whatever we get with the first update will be the only new content for the first month.

There has to be more than just the Active Wear in the compatability pack if its 60 meg. I work with poser models and the like a lot, and video game meshes and textures are far smaller in size than they are. Three parts wouldnt justify 60 meg in my opinion.

Ofc not, with the 60Mb download we have all the new content installed and ready to go, just waiting on the unlock downloads to be available.

Listen to Le Bello!

The Compatibility Pack will not contain new usable items. Don't be silly.

What it does is add COMPATIBILITY with the new items. In short, if you want to play online against someone who has the items, but you do not have the items yourself, you'll need to get the compatibility pack FIRST.

The reason is simple: The upcoming DLC is NOT on disc, so how is your game going to register someone wearing the Ancient Armour, if you do not have any data for it? It wouldn't is how.

This is why you must download the compatibility pack; it's the raw item data that allows your game to recognise the DLC when other people have it.

This, of course, means it's free of charge!

Which, to Le Bello, is a ludicrous amount!
The ITEM packs (Maid, Ancient Armour, Misc Namco Mascot Things) are the ones you must pay for, with only two having confirmed prices:

The Active Wear Pack, which costs whatever that gentlemen a couple of pages back said it did.

The Maid Pack, which is priced (according to the screenshot Le Bello provided earlier) at 240MSPoints.

Ergo, Compatibility Pack =/= New items.
Compatibility Pack = New Item Data.

Please feel free to quote Le Bello the next time someone says "But how much is the compatibility pack and what items does it unlock?" before spanking them.

You know what would have been a better approach with this compatability pack.

NB could have created a "Free DLC" pack containing a small quick battle tournament.

The tournament could have created souls showcaseing the new equipment available for purchase.

Plus an achievement/trophy for completion of the quick battle.

NB would come out winning because,
This could be viewed as a free gift to the SCV community.
It would get more people on board with the compatibility pack
and would show the goods the cepheus store has to offer.
