Off-topic funfact about the Upbeat Girl voice.
Anyone remember Jenny, the main character of that cartoon "My Life as a Teenage Robot"?
Yeah, same voice actress.
That show always bugged me a bit.
And now I know part of the reason why the sound of Upbeat Girl's voice bugs me.

It's more or less the script that bugs me. The voice itself does annoy me, but the script is a big contributor to my annoyance.

Lines like that made me think that 'Arrogant Girl' would be a more suitable name ._.

Also I would've liked it if we can choose the style/characteristics for the voice, which would affect the quotes and tone.

Well, there's a loincloth that you can make fleshtone, but nobody cares since the front loincloth flap covers everything. You can have a naked-looking butt though.
I love it when I use that voice with Pyrrha's style because she seems so sad and depressed about being too gorgeous for you. :) She just collapses to the ground, feeling so bad about being so gorgeous.

Accents would be too difficult. The English voice actors they hire would have to know how to do multiple different accents.
And as far as languages go, that would be too many voice actors that they'd have to pay.
At the moment, there are 8 voices for each gender in Character Creation.
That's 32 voice actors. 16 Japanese, 16 English.
If they were to add, say, French and Spanish, that's 32 more.
That would be 64 voice actors they'd need to pay.
Also, let's count the voices of the main cast.
There's 28 characters. However, some of them share voice actors or don't speak.
So, that's 46 voice actors.
Add 2 more languages, that's 92 voice actors.
In total, they'd have to pay 156 voice actors.
That's twice the amount of voice actors they've already payed.
I think we'll have to settle for just English and Japanese.
Either that or have even less CaS voices.

If PS realized that we CAS fans really do not care about our outdated SC:BD on our PSP having something "unique" to make up for missing online than we would have had the SCIII, IV, and V voices to choose from in character creator.

I don't need accents. The problem with the voices is that nobody seriously uses the pitch adjustment and the other thing (I don't know what it is called). The voices always sound horrible even if you change slightly from default. I thought the idea was to make a voice, for example, deeper and not sound like an alien or robot. You could easily have threetimes as many voices by only using deep and high pitched voices (not counting all the different pitch levels), but it is not working as intended.
