I dont feel as if I threw my vote away. Before a buddy of mine talked to me, I just wasnt going to vote at all as I was initially dismayed with the choices given. I may still not even show up to EVO this year exceot for the fact that I already told my family about it and it is at Ceasar's Palace. As for my vote, its what I would have played out of the choices in the poll, even though I dislike the game as a KOF game (although, 6 months more in development and this game would have been impossible to ignore even for the diehard opposition). I know full well KOF wont make it in, but Id rather stick to my conviction than to just bandwagon vote on another game.

I agree with you 110%. There was hardly a national scene for this game beyond last year's game release tournament in Los Angeles and a few blips here & there. At least Seattle still has the arcade machines *2 of theme for side to side VS play @ Gameworks* which was much more than I would have expected. I would have rather KOF 12 not be in the poll knowing that it has very little chance at being part of the official lineup at this year's EVO.

They're just trolls regurgitating the same tired stuff when Jaxel posts when they should move on since Astral Heat is no more. Normally I pay them no attention, but they make for some good entertainment. And even after explaining the same stuff over and over again, they just go right back to saying that he stole guides when they aren't going to admit that their site sucks and unwelcoming to new players.
 
random jab at dustloop: for a while the site wasn't allowing people to register if they used a hotmail email address though it would not notify the potential new member that this was a problem. of course many people have hotmail accounts...

That thread is starting to make my head hurt...

Its hard posting this kind of stuff... I feel like I am completely OWNING them, but they are too stupid, xenophobic or frustrated to realize how much I am tearing their arguments apart. I keep talking about how their community is dividing itself, and they keep going back to "theft"; because they don't have the "equipment" to deal with the real argument... that they are like CF.
 
lol from reading the last couple pages seems like dustloop mods are giving you the most trouble jaxel. spiritjuice and hellmonkey for example. I don't agree with all the stuff you do but spiritjuice is just a retard flat out.

I work right across the street from that Gameworks at the Sheraton and I've seen nothing but dust growing on those units. It's a damn shame you have people coming to this forum just to talk about how much they like another series.

Now I'm not attacking anyone personally but as a huge fan of this series I come here for everything to do with SC. Can't anybody say they've seen me go on any other forum just to talk about my beloved game. It's quite tiring to see the haters here.

I hope I am not one of those "haters" you speak, for I have done my very best to choose my words carefully and have a fun, passionate discussion. :) Many different factors have led to the KOF 12 machines being essentially treated the same as unwanted dogs in a pound ready to be put down, internal and external.
 
Wow that thread is out of control. I almost wanna see SC win just so I can witness epic nerd rage. Jaxel's gonna need security lol.
 
voted! SC4 will not win the poll, but i think it´s important to show that the SC community is still alive, at least.
 
Why wont it win? We have a lot of 8wayrun people. I think we have a good shot. It's just intimidating looking at some of those posts.
 
It's just trolls trying to make their case for their respective game that they probably won't even go to EVO to play in. Don't be intimidated by it, but do be prepared to lose alot of brain cells.

And this community is still alive and kicking. We shouldn't need a poll on SRK to show that.
 
Just vote for Soul Calibur, who cares what the odds are against it; you guyz love your game so stand by it.

Nonetheless I'm cool with ppl who don't vote for Soul Calibur; they may like another fighting game, but that doesn't mean they hate SC. Of course I'm talking about the ppl in this forum.
 
Listen, MeltyBread the official hub of the melty blood community has like 6 registered users online at any given time. How the hell is this game going to outvote ours?

SC4 had more entrants at EVO last year than the dinosaurs 3S and MvC.

TvC is on THE FUCKING WII and its in there! Need more be said?

Many of us have probably had children since the last time CvS2 saw a tournament.

If you are not outright INSULTED by just of the existence of the chance that KOF 12 could POSSIBLY be allowed into EVO you should probably delete your account.

The odds are not against SC4 if every person on this site votes it'll fuckin win so drop this "SC4 has no chance" thinking and GO VOTE if you haven't yet.
 
You can't say much about the Melty Blood thing. They have shit loads of people. Granted 80% of those kids arent even gonna go to Evo, they're jus gonna sit home watch the stream, and be happy they kinda took part in it being in the event.
The fact that it's run by SRK just gives all those 2D games a huge plus. And it also doesnt help that the Tekken players would much rather play a 2D game than Calibur, so those with accounts are prolly gonna go for something like Marvel. I wonder how many 8WR people have voted now, after Wizard changed the rule...People like Kikaleek said they were having problems with it =/
