Wind Dancing - The Talim Combos and More!

I've noticed that happen to me, but it only happened on another Talim (or small character I guess?) in training mode. If I did 8 for WC it whiffed, but not if I did 2.

Couple things I found out

AS A~WCAA
CH AS A~WC AAB

Also, I forgot what the move is, but there's another low A that can go into wind charmer that also combos with AA, and AAB on CH.

...yep :D ... anyways about your problem, I tested it with Talim vs Talim in P mode, it did happen a few times but not everytime. The direction of WC doesn't affect the possibility of it occurring, it seems, at least from what I've seen. Well just a hunch, but I think there is a few frames of "valid" window to release A in 3B*[A] in order for it to stun and there maybe a few from those (either in the very beginning or the very end) have problem connecting to WC B... no evidence yet though...

Talim's 2 part throw? + AB 236A 236B


do you guys know the timing for the two part throw cuz i just cant seem to geti it???

i also dont know the timing for this attack AB 236A 236B any help please thanks.

Dunno about the throw, just don't get mixed up on the command for the second part since it seems some do.

For AB, 236A, 236B: You can do them right after each other. Dunno how many frames that'd be between each move, sorry.

if you can get the frames for these moves that would help me out alot, because i love using talim and i want to know how to use each move to its fullest, thats why i want to know the timing of these moves because they are pretty much the only few moves that i just cant seem to grasp no matter how much i try.

please any help.

For the throw- think you need to input the second part before Talim hits the ground (while she's jumpin/spinnin) in the air.

For the other- think you need to input the second part before she does her first 'sweep' (re the first part).

For her throw... I just input it 3 times in a row... chances are, one of them works.

What I do is simply slide my stick rapidly in forward and reverse QCFs like this: 214-412-214-412... while pressing the attack button. Works every time.

Which button(s) are you pressin while you do QCFs (first A then B or A+B)?

This move is hard for me but if I can pull it off 100% of the time then ya I'll be usin/abusin (haha) it.

Do you have a 360? (HK may have a good connection with JP- I had a 5 bar with a Korean once (I think)).

I use her chain throw CONSTANTLY. I think Talim's throw game is her best redeeming factor. I normally do 236B+G, then I decide if I am doing A or B and then do 214A~214A~214A...

I have a PS3 and a joystick.

After entering the QCF B+G to start the multi animation, I immediately start rapidly doing the 214-412-214-412 while pressing A or B. I did this in SC2 when it was three input commands and the rapid curling of QCBs make it come out flawlessly. No timing is necessary.

Oh I guess you're talkin about the throw- ya I can do that one.
Throws take off a lot of life bar and so they're good.

The triple twirlin tonfa move (gets out the Brady to see it's called "Ice Wind Combo") is more difficult for me. Can anyone do this one flawlessly?
It looks good for style points, haha. Or when they are dead for multiple yells, haha*alpha (gets downgraded for bein 'agressive')?

I could hardly ever do the SCII combo throw, that one was tough (for me- re old with deteriorating dexterity, timin and coordination, haha).

And ya I'm always on a stick (seems like that came out wrong...).

I can never do her Ice Wind Combo while on the D-pad but if I'm using the analog sticks, I can hit it 80-90 percent of the time (Used to play 2D all the time on those). It seems like it could be a bit difficult switching from d-pad to the analog stick so quickly but I'm used to it.

The command for the chain throw and Ice Wind Combo isn't something that needs to be mashed.

For the command throw just to the 214 sequence immediately after 236B+G, no special timing required.

For her Ice Wind Combo, do the 236A part almost immediately after A+B, but don't do the 236B part immediately after it, wait a bit and do it while the second spin is happening.

Yeah, I don't mash out the Ice Wind combo.... timing and practice works pretty well. I'd say I can get it out around 85% of the time for all 9-hits.
