DrDogg - Will you be at Nationals? How many entered? Is there a YouTube chanel for matches from Devistation (T6, SF4 etc?)

Go Vicious, I wish I could've seen the live feed, nice to have thousands of people seeing you own face =)

gogo lizzy. here's to a weekend of strippers, midget bars, mechanical bulls, good beers and great company. here here to getting the cops called on us at 4 am the night before ownage in the finals.

congrats vicious. good times. good shit to salmon as well.

thanks to mamba, ryujin, and everyone else for travelling to chill.

nice to see all the socal folks...mo-temp, naomi, beefy...too bad i couldn't be there saturday to get more games with you all.

see you all at evo...hopefully...

also...SF4 and tekken final 4 matches were FUCKING HYPE.

You guys had MDJ there for Tekken? Augh, I'm sad I didn't have enough money to go.

If you were a MDJ fan from back in the T5 and earlier you will be highly disappointed in the new MDJ. Still solid but not MDJ we know. :( But we did go to Korean Army for a long time so im not giving up on him yet.

Whelp I guess its shout out time!
Vicious: Well you were there so hey I'll just talk to you in person.

Ryu Jin: What it is man. Nice Kilik man. Thanks for the games. I wish I could have played you more with Mr. Low Tier TKD fury but its all good. If you think I was talkin trash I'll repeat and say I wasn't but I was just overjoyed by the offensive and defensive decisions. Not meant to offend it I did. I hope to play ya in the future. I believe you said you were gonna be at EVO so I'll hit ya up then. Also for some reason my Yun turned to utter trash once you brought the camera out, wish I could have done better...

Mamba: That hat was spiffy dawg! GG's man, I got lucky on you man. Hope to see more of that secret weapon later though. Imma have to learn him now cause it got a brotha scared.

Lobo: So I finally got to meet the man, the myth, the lush. You are cool than a mutha man. I wish we could have played some more games on saturday night but I was mad sleepy. I didnt get much rest the entire trip up to that point so I kinda knocked out.

EVERYONE IN MY CARPOOL: What up! We all talked so I just wanted to mention yall!

Devastation Staff (Including Dr. Dogg): Thanks for hosting the event. It was real nice on many levels. If I recall there were people impressed even with the restrooms.(Yes it was that nice) Thanks for the effort put in and I hope to see you next year. If there is no SC4(or whatever iteration of it) I will bring an ps3 and start a side tourney like they did for all those other ones.[Wish I could have stayed for that Killer Instict :( ] All in all the venue was really nice. I think I was on camera a couple of times :) I even saw the vids once I got home, had a good chuckle on me putting the Rabbit Ears behind Vicious. I had a small question though; for the winners finals where I first played vicious and the power went out, were they completely recorded or was there and error in the feed. I kinda wanted to review the match but if not its all good. Once again thanks for putting on the event.

Dr. Dogg: You just mad cuz I stylin on you... j/k good seeing you man. Same ol' thanks same ol' love shown man.

SC4 community: Yall should have shown up. Especially the ones that have any complaints but ya didnt. Oh well. If they have SC4(or some other iteration) next year yall gotta come out. It was quite a good function all around, just a warning look around for cheap parking. I found uber cheap parking the last day leaving the event.

Win/lose, Devastation was loads of fun. Congrats to Vicious for his win and a round of applause to everyone who showed up. Thanks to Jedirobb, DrDogg and all the Devastation staff who held the event. I think I did pretty decent for my first major tourney and am looking forward to my next. Ggs to everyone I played and looking forward to the ones I didn't. I concur with the looking for cheap parking...$12 for parking is not cool :|

I didnt care for those calibur matches too much, really a lot of unsafe stuff going on. Very reckless gameplay, and it was pretty 123 in execution. Didnt see much to really knock me off my feet unfortunately. Mitsu was a bit scrubby. Not one stance mixup. Who are those guys main characters?

Come on guys...

Come on guys...

I thought they did really well, especially considering all the pressure they must have been under.

I though Salmon/Suicide game play was crappy at first glance (nothing punished, hit by ultra basic stuff (LC K LC A) and that all given players must have played each other for quite some time. Still in the second ft3 set some good mindgames have been shown, so gameplay might not be impressive, but the mindgames were okay. Overall they are solid, but couldnt show high level play this time.

Yeah. They werent by any means bad matches, but should have been much better for finals. I seen a lot of tit for tat "you hit me i hit you back" stuff going on. I wanted to see some frame disadvantage traps, high/low mixups. Lizzy and Mitsu both can play a ridiculous KEEP OUT game, I didnt see much of any if at all here. RELIC shenanigans from Mitsu, I wanted to see some of that! I made a sad face when Mitsu ran in and landed the ring-out throw on Lizzy. Those things should be a given. Way too predictable, and very very unsafe!

And the commentary is just like watchin an abortion. Soul Calibur is NOT and never has been about long winded juggles or combos. They talked so much they started to make hypocrites of themselves. It was getting very annoying hearing those guys speak the tournament organizers has the single flaw of having clueless hosts give play by plays on fighting games they know absolutely nothing about. The Tekken matches were even worse to hear.
