I just check now and there are some flight New-York / Marseille + Marseille / New-York at 670$
I remember thuggish asking for the competition with Cash prize.
They are on Friday (team) and Saturday/Sunday (solo) so I looked for departure 4march return 8march.
And Marseille is VERY close to Cannes.

I know its mainly me and SU concerning money. I believe rtd and kdz are fine when it comes to that but dont hold me to it.

I will know in about two to three weeks whether or not I can pay my own way, or would need any sort of assistance.

So have we decided who is going to represent us for World Game Cup 2010? I'm going to be making a big announcement about plans, donations, how we are going to assist our team players, and stuff on Monday, so I'm wondering who is going to play for us. I want the choice of our team to be as democratic and open as possible for now.
 
Nothing has been decided yet. Team USA can have up to 8 people. If you can make it, make yourself known. And if there's more than 8 people who want to represent Team USA, their names can be taken and put to a vote and we'll go from there.
 
Seeing how I was informed about the funds even before Jaxel aka the first in regards to the U.S team from Malek and its purpose etc. The funds were allocated to support an expected team or team in general. So this isn't a free for all handout. Being blunt as the amount of funds that were given to Jaxel is a substantial amount.

Second: No funds should or are going to be allocated between 8 people. So where gonna shut that down even before it begins. Whichever way the funds end up being split between the team it should be no more than 5 people if that seeing how some need the cash more than others but fair is fair if need be and I won't argue about how its allocated between the team.

So Jaxel u should have an idea how to handle the matter and I hope u can do it well.

Thugish Pond or Dreamkiller (Amy)
KDZaster (Cassandra)
Something-Unique (Kilik)
RTD or Ceirnian (Hilde)
AlphaMale or Manta (Voldo)
LinkRKC or Woahhzz (Ivy)
Suirad or Ramon (Sophitia)
 
I agree. Its a super solid listing.

To be more specific for me:

Thugish over Dreamkiller
RTD over Ceirnian
Ramon over Suirad
Either Ivy or Either Voldo will do

Regardless its a good pool to dip from. Esom is another good candidate for Voldo.

Ceirnian not only made if further in Evo than RTD, albeit only by one place, he beat RTD in pools to stay in winners.
Not only that, but Ceirnian has bee running the WC since SC4 started, which is saying a lot.

I would say Ceirnian over RTD, just based amount of tournaments won, results, and results between the two.

Goof-troop... I am taking donations for USA right now, but I will make an official announcement on Monday.
 
Since I assume we will prob agree to disagree KDZ I will just provide the reasoning for me having RTD over Ceirnian.

Ceirnian placed one spot behind RTD at Evo and Nationals. Edge goes to Ceirnian and that's it but in terms of 4th vs. 5th its not that major.

On the other hand RTD placed 1st at Internationals, 1st at GameUnicon. Of lesser importance due to extreme lack of participants 8 to be exact RTD also placed 1st at TIT and beat Ceirnian in the GF's.

RTD also beat people whom Ceirnian failed against Something-Unique, KDZaster, Thugish_Pond. Ceirnian hasn't managed to beat either of the above. That's also paying homage to the East Coast as I remember in the past Norcal was the supposed best coast but has since been proven wrong by a great margin.

So the value of his dominance over there doesn't hold a candle to the competitive field over here seeing how its a long stretch into the game's life cycle and East Coast has been proven to be the best coast by a number of competitors no offense intended to his competition but i'm being honest the same way they used to be.

I'm not holding hands in terms of preference but the above reasons are my reasons and in the end whomever the vote sways to is still a good choice for a Hilde user.
 
RTD still plays when he can but he's out of town right now so I don't know where he stands on going. Last time we talked he said it depends on his finances and some other things.

Know this though Rob is still the Destroyer like he's been since sc1. But instead of saying RTD over Ciernian I would say why should either Ivy, Sophie or Voldo player go before RTD and Ciernian. Who says we HAVE to have as many characters represented as possible? If I'm not wrong this is a competition and our objective is to WIN.

If we really judge this by results and who are the better players RTD and Ceirnian are undoubtedly better than the other 4. And if for no other reason the elephant in the room is HILDE. The bitch is broke but legal and they are the two best with her. And yea obviously she can be beat but how many times has that happened. What are their total combined tourny record maybe like 250-12 or something? GTFO

Again the objective is to win not to be politically correct because people don't like hilde. I say send them both and let the French and the rest of the world try to beat it.

Unless RTD or Ciernian plays someone else on a tournament level besides Hilde which I doubt, only one of them can use her because of the rules.

I'm going to wait to find out who can actually make it before picking. It would be silly for me to pick either one when I don't know for sure if they can spend a week in France.

And don't wait until the last minute to get a passport if you don't have one already.
