While they definitely weren't some of the worst, the endings in SMT: Nocturne were pretty lackluster. Big game, cool story, lots of invested time, epic battles . . . aaaand five second endings. :/
Every word of this is TRUTH. The only saving grace of that fight is being able to grab Sanctus out of his Stinger-like move right before he stabs you in the face. Dante Must Die mode + sliver of health left + "shall we dance?" taunt + grab out of the first dash = FUCK YEAH, BOW DOWN TO ME, PEONS.

Lame ending to a great game? Devil May Cry 4. Not really the ending, but the final boss battle. The venue was unexciting, the music didn't get me pumped, and it didn't really help that Dante got an AWESOME fight only a few minutes beforehand. It'd be kind of hard to top the last encounter with Virgil in DMC3, but still, it's like they weren't even trying.
