Assassin's Creed (Ezio Non-Gameplay) Discussion

IMO, I think Final Fantasy characters would've been an even bigger step for them, and Ezio, while good, is damn boring to be honest, but I would still consider him a second choice behind Final Fantasy. So I'm still good.

Also, anyone notice that sexy original art the Project Soul team designed for Ezio? <3

BAH! The man in the Hat isn't Bangoo. Bangoo doesn't wear hats... he wears SKULLS. May be Ralph though...

BANGOOO!!! WHERE ART THOU!

I dont understand the hate for Ezio, he seems like a pretty good choice to me. Better than the Star Wars b.s. or the Final Fantasy characters people wanted.
That's just how it is; it's impossible to please everyone. We'd get the same reaction if it was Lightning, Ryu Hayabusa, Gaberiel Belmont, Dante, Bayonetta or any other character. There's always going to be those who don't like the decision. I, however, am with those who are happy with it; not only do I like the AC series, but Ezio himself properly fits within the SC universe. His inclusion isn't unnatural and it doesn't break the game's atmosphere like StarWars did. In fact, it adds to it (a possible stage in Italy like in Florence!). I'm looking forward to some more info on his gameplay and well as info on the other three characters. I hope he has good tier.

ok. The character by viola looks like raph to me. he has blonde hair and he looks possessed by sould edge because his eyes are yellow.... He als has a pilgrim hat and a buckle on his chest or shoulder (from what it looks like in the picture)

But this could be a new wcharacter because all the new characters so far are at the top row.

If you havent noticed the character select screen is based on relations:

In a reflection alignment: siegfred and nightmare are in the same slots, Hilde (who is second in command based on the concept are and story of SC4) is in the same slot of tira ( who is second in command on the evil side)
Ivy and cerv are probably in the same slots.

In Columns : Tira is above Astaroth and voldo. In SC4 she was manipulating them. So she probably still is in some way. Phyrra is above tira which shows a relation to her. Nighty is below phyrra so it could show a possibility of sophitia being related to nightmare in some way.

In Rows: All new characters are in top row. Pat and Phyrra are in the same slots in a reflection because they are brother and sister. Viola is with zwei and they are the same slots. Nastu and Ezio will have some sort of relation.

based on how the ratio of males and females is even in the top row ican see amy by maxi and raphael by voldo (if he is the story tira will use him)

The 2 slot from the sword and shield will probably mitsu's "brother" (diagonal of mitsu)

Good side: Left
Bad Side: Right

Top Row: New characters. mostly friendly relations
2nd Row: Good and bad
3rd row: either good and bad or neutral relations.
4th row: possibly a mix of new, returning, and guest characters that show their relations.

The hate is the fact of a guest character in the first. It's saying that the game's not enough- we need a gimmick to sell it.

I hate guest characters on general principle, but I gotta say that it could be a hell of a lot worse then Ezio.

Ah good, good. If it's true then that'll show them for being so open with the community when some of the people who show up to these things aren't part of the community at all but are just yahoos. Thanks, random yahoo who snapped that pic. And if it is real and you're somebody from these boards, way to go.

I mean, yeah it's nice to know. But what's nicer still is to let them reveal their secrets in their own time.

As for the man in the hat, he is clearly Dampierre's apprentice. Okay just kidding.

I'm happy yet skeptical. But, I'll suppress how skeptical I am and try to look on the bright side. Right now, I'm trying my best to not be voracious for more news and all. But, I truly want to see more reveals when Namco decides to.

Actually I went there in person and talked to the doorman, and he told me it was invite only. After trying a bit more he went inside to see if I could get in (aka probably went in to pretend and get me to go away) and came back saying that the higher ups said no exceptions.

So I highly doubt they let some random people inside. More than likely the person who posted up the information about where the invite was being held in the first place was the one who leaked the information.

I only went for the 1% chance they would let me in so they could get a player who knows something about the series in. The videos that end up on the net when the embargo is over will be horrible as per normal I'm sure.

IMO, the only disappointing thing is that the timelines for both games (late 6th century for SC, late 15th century for AC) means that they can't actually make it a perfectly canonical fit.

Ceirnian that made me so happy to see, thank you man. Leastwise it's not going to be seen as the fault of fans at large.

It was just speculation. But it's not a far fetched idea, judging by the trailers, Sophi ending in SCIV, that the main protagonists are their sons and that possessing people is what Soul Edge does best.

I just wake up
Just remembered tonight reveal
Just fuck yeah

And who don't understand how much Ezio fit(imho is more SCish than Zwei, just to make a name) can ever

I'll remain hopeful but wary. It's a nice fit. Also, I can't see most of the FF cast ever fitting in the SC universe. Maybe like some of the IV cast, but that's it.

I'm more curious as to the guy to Ezio's right. Looks rather young, and part of the top row along with the rest of the new crew. I just hope he doesn't replace Kilik. I don't care if he retains his playstyle, I like Kilik.

Also, concerning Nightmare, although I don't know much, in that zoomed picture you can see a bit of skin tone where the visor would be, albeit shaded under the azure armor. I'd be willing to say it's taken a new host, though we're not 100% sure who.
