Official SCV Stage Discussion

Nice catch. There are definitely many elements present in AC scenery. We'll see if more stuff is revealed later. TBH, this stage is cool, although it wouldn't be as iconic as I would expect for Ezio's stage.
Good speculation, but the scenery just seems so dark and destructive. :\
This could be Nightmare's stage in which he's on a rampage and everyone is trying to survive, but who knows?

The stage is called Free Imperial City: Old Quarters. I think they will go for something more obvious for the AC stage... and it MUST have a hay stack or wagon somewhere XD
Apparently the stage is located in the territory of the Roman Empire and AC:B took place in Rome (the heart of the empire). If it is an AC stage, I doubt they'd explicitly say it is (ie they wouldn't simply call a stage they got from AC Rome). In AC:B the House of Borgia dominated Rome and after Ezio led them to their downfall, the city was liberated. That could be where the stage got it's name from; FREE Imperial City (the city is free from imperial rule) Old Quarters (used to be the base of operations/residence for the Borgia).

The Holy Roman Empire was centered around Germany and included only some parts of northern Italy, Rome was never part of it, nor Venice or Florence.

But wasn't Rome the capital city of the Empire?

We seem to be talking about two different Empires lol. I don't want to get too off topic; there may of been a mistranslation with the google translate. But still from what I've seen, many features from the AC series are found in this stage.

The empire was called:
Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation. It was basically Germany + Austria and other parts like northern Italy.
They called it Holy Roman Empire, because the Germans wanted to continue the traditions of the antique Roman Empire.

But back to topic, this stage does indeed look like the AC stage. But we need more screenshots to be sure. :)

Also if you look VERY closely to the left, you can see a wooden platform hanging from a crane, which was often use to help jump from roof to roof. The wooden scaffold in the upper part of the image also seems akin to what was designed in Assassin's Creed.

When I read this I immediately thought of the Egyptian Temple stage from SCIII (which I still play quite often):

Officially, the Roman Empire died out by the 5th century and the Holy Roman Empire - Germany as its capital - became dominate after Byzantine Empire fell apart. The Holy Roman Empire is really just the remains of what was once the Roman Empire.

I still hope for Venice to be Ezio's stage,it was even in the world map
And we have yet a Rome stage: the Coliseum

But if they want stay near to AC:Bro (where the costume seen is from),yes, can be Rome

Ok I might've made a mistake when I mentioned the empire. That's what showed when Google translated it and I'm not sure if that part of its description was accurate (it said the fires were started by someone but I'm not too sure if that's what happened). The name of the stage, however can be correlated with the events of AC:B (Ezio freeing Rome from the Borgia's control). That and seeing gameplay elements found in the series give me a good idea that this might be the AC stage. I don't know if it is, but I have reasons to believe so.

The curtained box-thing on top of the roof in the first pic (not the one in light next to the fire, higher than that) is exactly like the ones in AC2. I say that this is absolutely an AC stage, although I don't assume there will be only one.

Comparison pic:
Note the curtain shape and drape, the box's slightly-overhanging "ceiling", the wooden fence with X-shaped beams, etc. Definitely AC-style.

I hope they can pump in as much action as possible into the stages. SC4 had barren wastelands where noone was there to cheer or run away, except for the circus stage, there was nothing. I really hated Tira's square board stage. It was small and boring, SC5 seems to be going in the right direction with the old city stage.

I do though also hope more interaction with them increases, I hope houses return or librarys so books can fall and hopefully ringouts can be from being tossed out a window.

This was my personal favourite stage in SC3 because of how elegant it was, and I always wondered what was below the balcony.

And this: Fighting in levels of a burning building would be amazing if the heat grows the deeper you fall. This stage also has a window so if you were thrown threw it fighting in the courtyard would be intresting if you character was covered in smoke and ash.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the count already is more than SC4. And even if it isn't yet, the detail and thought that went into each one makes them feel like two times the stages we had in 4 :)
