if i remember correctly someone stated on the live stream that tira will be hard to use at first. Im sure the only reason why she will be hard to use is because she is like 2 characters in 1 and the player will have to focus on 2 things at the same time
1. Former lpayers who address as GS> JS in Sc4 will probably want to shift into GS in SC5, while trying to do this the player will have to focus on:
a) Attempting to deal pressure/damage with JS which was hard to do because of her big damage being based on CH and her tools were very strict in the post mixup department. An example would be JS AA on hit (+1 on NH/CH if recall) you then can use the guaranteed setup of iFrC A and then once your opponent is adapting to turtling iFrc A after an NH AA you can then setup 2K and 2B mixups wich could be interrupted by some characters. however i am sure that it wont be this bad once more.
b) Focusing on health. Which would be a ticket to GS but at the same time you would have to focus on dealing damage or setting up pressure in SC4 with the soul guage. The CF system is go of course.
2 If a player uses this system of SC4 tira in SC5 tira then she will not played to her best ability.
I really like the states being differenated but i want them balanced in their own ways. Her learning curve will be the same as Sc4, but i am hoping that players dont address her JS as the same as it was in SC4. I am hoping that players will just acknowledge JS as another character, ignore her cons, and just use JS to setup for GS and vice versa. As you said though she does have more access. I hope though that the player will not focus on shifting to GS just to get the upper hand and to just make their own advantage with JS by making setups for GS or to deal damage with JS.
I really want her Rumbling Robin stance in JS to be mix up orientated. For example:
Rumbling Robin would be accessed through her JS 44B
RR A : an i22 - i26 GB high. with a stun like SC4 setsuka CH 4A
RR B: an i19 mid, unsafe on block (-13)
RR B B: an i19 mid/mid srting with a delay. unsafe on block (-17) with a facedown KND on NH to combo into 2K or her CE if possible. TC? opponent in FrC on block
RR (B)
: an i19 mid/low string. The low would be her 44B and go back into RR. unsafe on block.
RR K: Her interrupter for quick mids like 3Ks, it would be an i15 - i16 low and -2 on NH and 0 on CH. unsafe on block TC
RR [K]: basically goes back in RR. 0 on NH and +2 on CH
I find this build very nice for RR for JS.
RR A is a GB but slow and can be ducked.
RR B series would be her main mind game in RR and if used correctly you can avoid punishment or a severe punishment.
RR K series: its a low and interrupter. plus unsafe on block. it would do like 10 dmg at best.
As for GS i would find the HL stance good from a 4 mainly to bait the opponent into GIing and then waste meter.
I would really want tira to have more ways to access her stances if possible though for it to have more diversity.
Yeah, when i first noticd about the damage from her JS 66B BE i thought taht maybe that it was just too much damage. I really didnt like that and was worried. i then remembered that they will balance it out. plus it takes some meter to pull of. and her setups for it are also hard to pull off.
