Ezio Q&A / General Gameplay Discussion

He is a very promising character. I want to take a look at his lows before making judgement. His 2K /1k is awesome. The thing is when i compare Ezio to the rest of the cast, he still needs abit of improvement. We'll see when the game comes out.
I was a lil bit disappoint with 2A,i was hoping to use it as dodge+stop action (example i ever like Mitsu's 2A),but the start up was slow, specially it don't crouch fast enough

Oh damn that sucks. But we'll see when the game is out. From what i see so far, his whiff punishing is gonna be real painful.

Well, overall it seem to me very good
You have to play very smart with him, imho he's not about impose your game but keep reading the opponent and own him

My favourite stuff as now it's hands down "the stab" 3B on CH (it become an AT)
Hit your opponent with that shit and he will think twice before assault you again :D

Yea i saw that the dmg is really high on CH. I doubt it'll be safe on block though, probably a free A,A for fast A characters which is not so bad considering the dmg output of that move.

The horizontal move which looks like Setsuka's 4A is Ezio's 4A? And how about his retreating attack? Is it 44B?

after hearing that Ezio will be a guest char in SCV automatically made me imagine Voldo's crotch trust moves used on him, which made me laugh like a retard.

Every character looks strong in this game which is what I like. Similar to VF, every character will then have a chance to win, it's just a matter of skill and yomi then. Sure enough, there will be tiers. :)

I found a funny pic on internet. I don't know where I should post so I post here.

I still don't really get this character. What are his strengths? Weaknesses?

His AA and BB seem to have pretty small range, and I haven't seen any full-circulars from him.

His CHs seem to be big thing with him, he has VF-like hit-throws from a linear high and a mid.

I'm still having trouble understanding his movelist's design and what sort of strategy to use with this character. I don't see much in the way of reverse mixup, offensive mixup, speed, range, nothing. Just big CH damage.

I played with him around abit. Strong character with good tools for rushdown. Very good lows, TC and TJ moves. Not to mention his whiff punishing is top notch.

His 22a,a didn't track to both sides? I thought it did.

I just watched pt4 of the tgn free play stuff, noticed that the eizo player had a GB VERY quickly in round 1. Would be worth seeing how good his armor breaking abilities are when the game comes out.

EDIT: The more I watch the TGN vids with Ezio gameplay, the more I realize that all the guard damage is coming from blocked crossbow bolts. Makes sense, since they are linear/fairly certain they're high.

Played alot of Ezio. His safety is an issue. However, his poking game is really really good. His lows are really powerful (2K, 11K and 6k2), his whiff punishing is good as well. The only weakness at the moment that i feel is his lack of range. Against characters like NM, it will become obvious. Crossbow shots are key to controlling the space in front of you. Furthermore, he has one of the best BEs i've seen so far in B, B BE which leaves Ezio for BT mixup.

Some nice lookin stuff.

The account that uploaded this has done it for a few other characters but Ezio is the only one they did the whole movelist on. Weird.
