So....Setsuka Players....

You're trying to explain to a man who clearly hails from the West that parasols don't look gay... in another goddamn continent with different social norms. You aren't winning me over here, but god only knows you're trying.

Back on topic though, I could care less that Setsuka isn't in the game. She had no gravity in the SC universe, and instead they gave her moves to somebody that does.
That's' the thing. "Another continent with different social norms". It's one out of many continents though. I do have pictures, but I don't want to get too much into it.

The whole differences in what "man", or "manly" is between the East and the West really baffle me sometimes.

But nonetheless, was Setsuka going to be in this game? Unfortunately no. Even I knew that one. Even though she had a brilliant design, she has no goal.

However, the result of what came to be is what worries me, especially since "Patroklos" has an original moveset all to himself, which I bet will be included in the next installment.

When SCVI comes by, who will have Setsuka's moveset this time, because even I know "Alpha Patroklos" won't be here for long, but I guess we can just be pleased with what we have now, and then wait for the next one.

You know, if it comes to that bridge, they'll probably just bring her back. I guess we won't truly know where she went for a while. I don't think that Namco/Bandai will be able to juggle her moveset for long - but I also have a fleeting suspicion that we could see her as DLC. I mean, her moves are already in the game, (as far as we know), and she wouldn't be much different than a bonus character at that juncture.

I can see the Setsuka fans now.

"TAKE THAT SETSUKA HATERS! Setsuka's in the game and she's 41. Where's your favorite older female at?"

Of course this is only the worst case scenario. The majority will probably just be happy she's there.

I'm also interested in knowing if Algol will be available for CaS. The one who made the video for the edit mode hadn't unlocked Algol yet. It was odd he wasn't CaSable in IV. But maybe he will be on this one! His style could make some great CaS characters.

If you are referring to the style itself, there is a good possibility that it will, since Pyrrha Omega's is available anyways.

Frist think i do after Getting Setsuka style back Go to CaS and make me my ownen new Setsuka :D

I hope it isn't available in CaS. The Mary Sue army would get ridiculous.
"hey guise check out my custom charcter he's a badass angsty samurai who's so badass he fights with both soul edge and soul calibur!!1"

i like the parasol because its visually distinct. Having the patsuka weapon makes it a bit more generic but i wouldn't mind if they brought setsuka back as DLC and she still had the Alpha weapon.

Maybe if they have different weapons they can have the parasol as a joke weapon.

I guess I was kind of assuming they'd have an umbrella weapon or two selectable with Patsuka's style, if not one of Setsuka's actual weapons. I mean, they wouldn't open or anything, but whatevs. A cane would be neat too. Not having an umbrella skin, though, would be a dick move.

The problem is, if you remove the umbrella (or walking cane/koto....etc), the weapon is no longer a "hidden" disguised weapon, which is the essence of a shikomizue (sword-cane) - it's hidden and inocuous, therefore more deadly. An umbrella is such a frivolous object that it acts as the perfect blade-hiding sized instrument. I think it's crap that's Setsuka's gone, but even worse that the sword part of the weapon is now on display for all to see - it doesn't seem as cool somehow. Oh well.

Hopefully there'll be some cool kimono CAS parts and the geisha hairdo. Emo Pat does nothing for me........

I'm more leaning towards Setsuka's ponytail returning than the geisha hairstyle that they have.

Plus that Gambler's Robe from SC3.

And I 100% agree with your statement. That's what I thought the whole concept of the style was: to be hidden.
