Bit of a change of subject, but would anyone with the Denim or Roman packs be able to comment on any compatibility issues? In particular, I'm curious as to whether the denim jacket and vest would be compatible with mid-body equipment, the jeans with boots, and the roman armor with pants or skirts... if someone could fill me in, I'd really appreciate it. :)
What do you mean "mid-body equipment?" Technically speaking it is mid body equipment. By "jeans with boots" if you mean ZWEI's "Outlaw Trousers", it's compatible. The belt clips through the jacket, but it looks rather good doing it

Maybe they are working on Super Soul Calibur 5, and they are going to include those items with the update?
(Just trying to be hopeful)

Oh! I'm sorry, I guess this heat has gotten to the part of my brain that handles descriptions. XD I'd meant shirts and / or dresses as 'mid-body equipment' - things like Viola's Dress, just off the top of my head. My copy of the game labels that slot as 'upper body equipment', but since it's so similar to the armor and jackets 'upper body coverings' slot, I call it 'mid-body' and 'upper body' respectively.

So, ahh, to specify the questions in my last post... do the jeans in the denim pack conflict with any footwear, like tall boots? Do the denim jacket and vest work with shirts and dresses? And, are the roman armor pieces compatible with pants or skirts?

Sorry about the confusion, but thanks for the idea to pair them with Z.W.E.I's trousers should I wind up purchasing them. :D

I assume he means hip equipment.

They seem to conflict with mostly dlc related items:
-Dark Warrior Greaves
-Chaps
-Horse legs (big surprise /sarcasm)
-Bronze Leg armor
-Absolution Solea
-Soothsayer's Hose
-Valkyrie Greaves
-Nurse's boots
-Seong mina's boots

Everything else seems fine, although I might have missed one or two, but I'm pretty sure that's it. As someone else mentioned, the legs clip through the pants when you attach certain pieces, like "Oathbearer's Greaves." This seems to only happen to male characters; the clipping doesn't happen with females.

Eeep my bad. Didn't look at your name properly. ):

No problem! I actually tend to assume most people online are male unless otherwise stated, so I've made that mistake a couple times myself. ;)

Thanks very much for the info! I don't know why, I just had this weird feeling those jeans wouldn't work with tall shoes because of those tears. Most of the conflicts seem pretty normal, though - I know several of those female pieces aren't compatible with any legwear, regardless. All in all, it doesn't sound so bad. :)

Wow! I just heard the bad news but I'll get to that in a minute since I don't want to make multiple posts.. ^^;

Before I found out that tidbit of information, even though I was slightly irritated that this week, we still didn't get the SCV Equipment Pack, I thought this one was fairly decent. The only ones I bought was "Dark Armor" & "Ancient Armor 2". I actually liked those two. The Modern and School Outfits don't appeal to me (they didn't in SCIV either) since I don't like making modern characters in SC but alas, at least the people who were waiting for those got to finally get them.

But now, after reading about the posibility that this batch of DLC could be the last one. I was shocked, horrified, and all the other words lol. I mean, I was already sad that they weren't offering Tira's 2p (I really liked this outfit...) or Leixia's 1p (For those beautiful shoes...) or even Algol's 1p. But I still held out happiness because they were including Raphael's 1p (Those boots, hat, and top <3), Viola's 2p (Love it! And so wanted the hair), Maxi's 1p (Those Pants and Jacket <3), & Nightmare's 1p/2p and I was praying they'd come out this week. *sigh* It figured they'd throw in the towel just before we got the good stuff we've all been craving for that I personally feel should have been including in the game like in SCIV/Broken Destiny. I certainly hope that Daishi mean't only for this month or is bluffing... Because it so sucks. Like a few of you guys, I was waiting for certain outfits as well. They should have just swapped the Modern Clothing 2 with the SCV Equipment back haha. But oh well, what's done is done...

If this turns out to be true, I really hope they plan on making Super Soul Calibur 5. I know I said in the beginning that I wouldn't buy it but my thoughts changed. If the super edition of SCV included more stories, all the DLC and plus, a few new items (Like bringing back clothing from SCIII & SCIV), and has Zasalamel, Yun-Seong, & Talim or at the very least, their styles, I wouldn't mind buying it. But this would probably be the only time I would. But if not, well, I guess I can say it's been fun and I probably will keep the game for as long as I am interested, then either sell it or let it gather dust on my shelf. I mean, the game had potential and it's character creation is one of the best (I still like SCIII's better lol) but since I don't have a good internet connection to play online most of the time and that's there's not many single player modes to play in, the created characters are just... Kind of bleak at least in my opinion.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. ^^; Just thought I should share some thoughts. Like I said, I hope that it's just a bluff and not true and that they will at least finish off releasing the DLC.

I don't own all the packs so this is not a final list.
but i hope this helps.

There is also the possibility that this could be the last DLC for a while. There might be something big in the works and then they'll release this stuff to go with it.

Keep hope alive!
Oh this sounds so familiar! Oh I know! It's like the time when PS released all the characters and people still kept holding on to empty hopes that their favorite veterans make a return! They read, analyzed Daishi's words/tweets as if something was hidden behind them, but it turned out there were as direct as anyone would put them.

Daishi is a troll. He's a slut who cheats his fans with BS. OMG

^How is being direct trolling?
I didn't clarify my post enough so here comes the confusion and I'm too lazy to go back and edit it. So hopefully this will suffice:

Direct as in when he announced the full roster.

Troll as in he said Viola will have a big role and that he couldn't answer whether she's Amy or not. And all the other stuff related to the story blah blah blah.

I'm sorry, but isn't it a bit unfair to judge Daishi based on conclusions that fans drew themselves? A big problem here is that sometimes translating from one language to another doesn't yield nice neat results, so it's hard to tell what he actually means. Another problem is that people are starting to feel entitled to things they weren't promised to begin with. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Daishi never said we'd be getting any of the unreleased DLC. He didn't release the thumbnails, they were dug up by fans and we drew the conclusion that we'd get everything that was discovered. For all we know he originally planned to give us all of that stuff, but things changed and he couldn't, or maybe they were just tests for turning character equipment into CASable equipment. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Character pack 3 to come out, but to say we were lied to and cheated out of it is incorrect.

I'm not just talking about DLC here, buddy. I'm also referring to other aspects about the game. He did promise that the Story is more vast on this one than the previous installments even going on to saying that he couldn't answer the "is viola amy?" questions and that we will have to wait to get the game to find out the answers. BS. I didn't find out anything worth waiting for about Viola's identity whatsoever from the game that we didn't already know. Mistranslations or not he should not lead the fans to empty promises that he and his team can't fulfill. Whatevs.

I guess I'm just ranting because I'm such a hard-core fan of the series. It was basically my life last year looking for updates everyday and waiting for this game to come out. This is just coming from a person who is really passionate about this game and needed to show some tough love. Let's be honest, no matter how people say: "Oh it's okay, I'm just glad we received DLC this time around," you know that they've been let down once or more by PS about something in the game regardless how small it is. Don't lie to yourself about being somewhat happy about PS about SCV because I know deep inside you don't feel that way (Not directed to you but to those two-faced people out there). Some people just nic-pick on everything and are hard to please, including myself.

C'est la vie.

^ And Namco pressed a lot on Project Soul to hve the game done by January -- we discussed that a LOT on release. We know the story is only 1/4 of what it should be thanks to Namco's rushing (and besides Tekken, I believe they're effing up a lot lately on their games. Who takes decisions now, a monkey?).

Well, now that I can backtrack on some of the packs I skipped before, I have a conflict-related question:

Does the bong-seon boots from the classic costume pack conflict with the jester breeches?

Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, I just backread and saw Leona's post about it.

Omg Im sad, I really wanted Tira's 1P and 2P, looks like we wont be getting it. :(
I just read/heard about the tweet we're getting one last DLC. :(!!

I cant accept that this is the last one. Why bother putting numerals on certain packs if your not going to release a follow up. like the classic helm pack. I understand that things change and that plans dont always come to fruition but they could at least release the rest of the character outfits(Siegfried 1P) or bring back the old DLC from SCIV. I dont see why thats an issue.

If they were to make an expansion to SCV including more story, characters, etc.. what would it be called?
Super Soul Calibur V rolls off the tongue nice, but "Super" is more of a Capcom/Street Fighter thing.
Let's come up with some titles. I'll start.

Soul Calibur V Legendary Souls edition
Soul Calibur V Sword & Souls edition
Soul Calibur V Blood, Darkness, Come Onto Me! edition (just kidding) :D
