SCV- New CHARACTER ideas

With all this DLC that has came out, new and/or returning characters could have been attached to the DLC packages. It would make the DLC packs seem more valuable but idk thats my opinion. I'm still buying everything though when I get a new Xbox lol

I want someone with a Cocky ass attitude. Someone u can call a cocky ass duchebag when u win and he has a 2 sided sword or a giant ass sword and cool Armor. I got this stuff from Dynasty Warriors but i think its a good idea.

Haha they're right, Patroklos is a whole new definition of cocky. I swear, his win animation where it closes up on his face and he says "Now you understand, just how weak you are!", I want to get back up and sock him in his bloody face. >_<

lol And before Patroklos, we had Raphael and Yun-Seong who were very cocky. xD

But yeah, I would like to see a double-edged sword as a new weapon type.

I love how a thread for new character suggestions got turned into a convo about setsuka and patroklos. pat is just a copy of her like xiba, lexia and natsu are copies of previous characters that should never have even gotten removed if they were just gonna make generic knock-offs of them >.< the thing that pisses me off is 2 of my 3 characters got removed from the game. now the only character i like any more is NM(who has always been my main at least), but they took out zasalamel and yung sueng.... thus officially crushing my spirit.

Anywho, to the character suggestion: Ever since i started playing this franchise on SC2 i've only ever wanted to see a character with a dual blade/swallow(if you dnt know what that is refer to the pic bellow). and they have never added one. I just want to see a character whirling one those blades around, knocking ppl in the air and then slicing them to ribbons with it. Its always been my fave type of weapon, and any style with said weapon would be a viscous flurry of whirling and slashing with the blades possibly making ridiculous number of hits for combo's. A style like that in SC would quickly become my main.... and no offense to women but i would want it to be a male.

Speaking of women in SC... im so sick of only ever fighting the chicks... viola and natsu are WAY too over used -_- i dnt have a problem with the female characters but i swear its like guys play with them jsut to look and skimpy dressed girls with jiggly boobs. most of the characters in the game are neglected in SC5, at least on psn they are. i rarely see characters like Aeon, cervantes, NM, astaroth, raphael, algol... even maxi is rare now!!(and he was the most popular newb character of all!!!) I get tired of whooping the same 3 female styles in jsut about every fight im in online. I swear i never even once played with taki/natsu but ive fought their styles so much i could probably master the style in a week... well i digress, im done ranting. :P jsut want to see a dual blade user... would cream my pants if they added one :)

If that's the case, then that's poor judgement on the players' part. That's how misconceptions are made. If anyone is familiar with Greek history, the Alexandra family would be considered Ottomans (it even says so on the character bios). The same thing can be said with Talim; where she was may be called the Philippines now, but it wasn't at that time. People in a country can change hundreds of years later; she probably doesn't come from the same origin/culture as Filipinos today. But you're right about it being a game. Players will see something and run with it, even if it's not really what it is.
For some reason Talim always looked more indian-south asian to me rather then Filipino.

Same. Though, to me, Soul Calibur characters almost NEVER look like their ethnic backgrounds... I mean, the Koreans could hardly have fit that and the Japanese never do. Stylizing makes it hard, I suppose... outside of the clothing, you'd never be able to discern.

The koreans dont look asian whatsoever... but we had this argument before.

Of course the designers have a hard time with that and do need to fix that a bit., but you should check out the rendered artwork of characters in Soul Blade.

Now those are pretty close.

But there are some in SCV rendering where it is pretty obvious, like Natsu. The other Asian characters, however....

Sometimes I think SB was the only game where they got the renders pretty close...~~

Soul Calibur 1 and 3 were close as well. Look at Xianghua's for example.

The only one who looked remotely Asian in gameplay on all until SCIV was Taki.

Why havent I seen these before O.o.

The SC3 one looks really good :o

The SC3 one is a different version from what is actually displayed in the game/wallpaper.

They did the same thing to Seong Mina.

I personally love Setsuka's on that game. Her gameplay render too.
