Super High-Level In Your Face TIERLIST!!!

I know I'm late 2 da partay but, seriously, I can't find any tierlist (das not a wurd lol) thread that I can post in and I never got to share my opinion. If possible, I want this to be a discussion because I want to talk about everyone's perspective and actually like to hear this stuff (so, if we can, no close, please). I mean, I know people get angry for whatever reason but that's just another spice of life, right?

I'd like it if, rather than posting you guyseses own that you criticize mine. Now, I understand that might not always be the case but I'd at least like for the topic to start off that way so that I can give a chance to give some reasoning. But, please, be direct in your criticism and questioning; it's much harder to answer the question, "Why is *X* here?" as opposed to answering, "Why is *X* here and not here?" or "Why is *X" here instead of *Y*?"

Look I'm not trying to shit on you out your idea bruh but that won't work either. First off history has shown it won't work out for a myriad of reasons. One of them is, and I think it's even more prevalent now is that our actual competitive community isn't large enough where we have at least one respectable player playing each character. Sure you can listen to what Ramon, Xeph, SU, and LP have too say about Pyrrah and her matchups but even then how much can they say about how good she is against Zwei when there's no one out there who we can say has excelled with that character and used him to his fullest ability like these guys have shown with theirs?

I tell you what, go ahead and make one on your own (I believe I've seen at least 3 other people try so far) and post it. You'll see what I'm talking about random folks coming out of the wood work just having to say how they're right because they have some sort of secret "the wiz" knowledge that no one else has and how they absolutely know the matchup better than anyone else because they played against whatever character like a thousand times online and no one bang ever beat them. Good luck though hopefully I'm wrong.

 

If cervy had a standard BB, normal 2A, and some kind of auto parry that worked on violas orb, he'd be unstoppable.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but, like I said, it was tried in Sc4. What ended up happening was, not only did those players of the character not agree, but, when it came down to matchups, the players of the characters involved in those matchups didn't agree half of the time. This is precisely the reason I had people put up their own opinions here and liked the idea of it to be open discussion (and didn't want it to be people patting each other on the butt solely because they agree with them); that way people see the differences in opinions in why.

The reason I'm not doing a matchup chart is simply because I'm not doing it. Like I said before, that's not what this topic is for. If you want one so badly, get it started yourself - you don't have to wait around for someone else to do anything.

Still, the good matchup charts are still going to strongly reflect the good tierlists and the ones with more ignorant creators are going to look silly as the players try to make their numbers match their beliefs ("Umm...lemme put a couple 7-3's here and there").

Like I said, not being pessimistic.

But his guard break doesn't guarantee a free hit that's the point im making while these guarantee a hit with certain moves hence the description.

But meterless 3B guarantees only 39 dmg (WRB slightly more)? Color me confused

I mean CH that is of course when someone whiffs that is a punish as well [3B] ~ SCH B is what i mean also im not going to too much detail you could use other moves. And about whiffing high level players can make other high players whiff through tricky tactics and forced spacing so it's not impratical.

 

Hmm a whiffpunish does not necessarily give you a CH. If you hit them in their recovery frames you'll only get a NH, if you hit them in their startup frames however thats a different story.

His 22B is a pretty good meterless whiffpunisher imo (when it doesn't whiff that is).

Well i pull it off more than you would think then lol.
Horizontal Whiff punisher SBH B ~ 66A+B is a good combo as well.

Fixed that for you. Its pretty difficult to actually whiff punish with SBH B though because of its slowness (i30 + transition frames).

SBH is top tier of the GI's though hehe.

There is another that is not 100 percent guaranteed without timing but you have a good chance if you time it right you can make it guaranteed if you do 236B UB after SBH B even better lol.

This is getting off-topic though should be posting in the Siegfried tactics threads.

What made me lol was when Divined mentioned SBH B, 66A+B as a good combo. You're better off doing SBH B, 22BB(it doesn't whiff on this side for 1P, 88B for 2P side) or spending the meter for SBH B, 44(B), SBH kBE.
