Successful Gi drain opponent guard like SCIV ?

Successful GI's recover the gauge damage you take from attempting a GI.
We know Sophitia and Mitsu don't have A+K moves, but maybe other characters do.
That's highly unlikely. They seem to be building the game with one thing in mind. Make the controls super friendly to pad players. So B+G and A+K are out. B+G has become the RE button, you have another dedicated to supers. I can't see them adding an A+K button just for a few characters.

Hi ! ( I'm french player)
To begin : Thank you for your information !

I have a important question : Can you make GI into CE ? like SC V ?
If the answer is yes : Can you RE or GI the CE in this setup ?

Thanks by advance.
This is a potentially huge problem...
Unlimited and apparently easy GI attempts into completely unavoidable CE does not sound good.

SC2 8WR buffering doesn't seem to be in for moves that aren't 66.
Really now? I'm surprised at this considering the movement change to get rid of quickstep from 5. Ok then.

You can tech forward throws with just A and the timing is freakishly loose. 4A techs back throws and does not tech fronts. You can sort of mash out 4 and 6 and as get away with it on forward throws.

You can throw escape with any attack button :(.
Ok. This... could be a real problem. Between being GI-able, escapable with any button, and being able to have BOTH grabs be mashed out of, Throws sound completely useless now. I hope this gets addressed before launch.

You can mash ABK. Just as long as you guess the first direction right, it works
SO FOR 4A+G, YOU BREAK WITH ANY ATTACK BUTTON WHILE HOLDING 4?

MEANWHILE, 6A+G CAN BE INPUT AS SIMPLY A+G, AND A+G CAN BE BROKEN BY PRESSING ANY ATTACK BUTTON WITH NO DIRECTIONAL INPUT REQUIRED?

As a pad player, I have zero issues pushing A+K or B+G without shortcut buttons. Use two fingers!

Interesting, so you can break a throw with just the correlating direction + a button input.

So I 6G+A throw someone
As long as the are also holding 6 they can hit A, B, or K to break, is that correct?

A+G throw
No directional input + A, B, or K for the break?

I’m assuming this has lockout built in so that if I am holding 4 and they do a neutral or 6 throw, I have blown my chance to break the throw?

@Futabot

If opponent does GI into CE then is it guaranteed?

How long can you hold RE for? Once you start holding it is it only a vertical slash you can do out of it?

Guys do you think we could do a thumbs up/down type poll for all the points raised here to pass on?

e.g.

No A+K (down)
GI Throws (down)
Single direction parry (down)
B+K throws removed (down)
No WL moves (down)

OK so I had to think of a couple of positives!

It looks like SC (up)
Ring outs remain (up)
Meterless GI (up)
8wayrun (up)
Still has weapons (up)

RE shouldn't be on the list because it's something we haven't experienced. I believe they should be refining the experience of the last 20 years - for this game at least. Every game since 2 tried something new; some good some bad - take stock and build on that. Easily the safest way to make a great SC game.

Trying to constantly re-invent or introduce/change has harmed the franchise more than helped (as per the relative performance of the last 3 titles).
