I was also hoping they would compensate the silence with a large reveal. Its too stupid for us to be forced to wait so long, only to get only one or two characters. If DBFZ was the reason they were holding anything back, now is the time to reveal a lot of stuff for SC6.
 
Pretty sure they want to sell as many $110 copies of DBZ fighter before they start promoting SC6 some more... You are going to have to wait until after it releases before any new SC6 info comes out.

Yes that's the case actually, & fortunately this game is releasing very soon.
 
Please stop with "it's not a good time", there is no such thing as a bad time to announce an game.

Maybe if there was a war or such, but even then video gamers would find a good opportunity to have some "hope".

Also, there are 3 ways DBZ and SC interact with each other:
1. DBZ players don't like SC, so they don't care about SC news
2. SC players don't like DBZ, so they don't care about DBZ release
3. Players like both DBZ and SC, so they'll be happy with DBZ release while waiting for SC

It's nonesense to believe that news for a game would be dulled because another game of the same genre is being released...
 
The only things that will be dulled are the ads for the game on social media and outside.
Bandai Namco has a lot of games coming out this year before Soulcalibur so they focus their ad campains close to release of each title.
Now it's Dragonball time after Dragonball there will be Code Vein then Dark Souls and so on. So don't expect the official Namco accounts on social media to talk about Soulcalibur more then once a month at best.
It's not about Soulcalibur being dulled it's just the way it works.

That said I believe we will get a trailer with a bunch of characters reveals every month or so, as the roster is supposedly as big as the one in SCV and they have a maximum of 11 months to show them all.

Except Option 3 requires 2 teams as opposed to a single dedicated marketing team. Unless they are hiring and firing people after every game, they have a limited number of resources and right now they are asking for $110 for the super-duper-Z edition. The next edition below that is only $95...

So as it looks like we'll not get Famitsu scans this time it's plausible that they'll drop a trailer just before or during EVO (maybe in the morning) and let people try the new build.

I agree with you. I don't play Tekken 7 since late Summer 2017. Character customization is bland. Plus, I didn't appreciate T7 for some others reasons.
 
Tekken character customization has always been weak, though. I'm not honestly sure why they bother, it's like they feel obligated for some reason since SoulCalibur has it, but it doesn't even try to be worth worrying about. I haven't seen Tekken 7's, but Tekken Tag 2's was quite abysmal. Just like Tekken can't 8-way-run, Tekken can't character customization either. SoulCalibur VI won't be affected by Tekken's inadequacies.

I think we're all sure actually. Tekken 7's customization was always vastly inferior to SC's, Tekken's customization was always bland and limited, while SC's customization felt a lot more complex, though still unfinished (at least from SC4 on).

Tekken has never a character creation (and fortunately if you ask me), but it always had customization and since T5.

Personally about that Topic T5 and 6 had the better customization. And better than CaS on any SC game imo.

So going back to SC6 topic, when's exactly the SCV tournament? they will reveal news after that tournament i guess?
 
Its not a tournament, its Evo Japan. Its gonna be January 26-28th. I'll take a delayed announcement for cool SC stuff from my bday today, but, again, cool stuff.
