Dvapara-Yuga is a ward off rather than a seal though, at least it is implied to dissipate evil, a few characters such as Raphael call it the holy stone. Wearing one close to the eye, which is a motif usually related to Soul Edge bears interesting implications, including how Edge Master was the one who gifted the holy stone to Kilik. So far Kilik, Mina and Cassandra are the characters that are related to him, Unbreakable Souls canonicity aside, which means 2/3 of his students were able in some way or form to seal/dissipate evil. Which may link GROH with him after all.

It seems like maybe Groh was infected by Soul Edge but uses a piece of Dvapara-Yuga to keep himself balanced, removing it when he needs Soul Edge's power? It's pretty interesting. I really hate the white and red hair though, it clashes so badly with the rest of his outfit and makes him look like someone's shitty CAS, lol.

I feel like I am stating the obvious here, but Grøh's hair having blue tips normally then transforms when ditching the eyepatching thing (that looks to be made with fragment of Dvapara-Yuga) is meant to represent Soul Calibur and Soul Edge's related effects they have on someone (Soul Edge turns people's hair red when their body is the new host as Nightmare, but the blue hair thing is new though for the other side of things however)

The biggest difference here is that Grøh seems to have control of how far he goes and is at least capable of balancing himself out between the two influences.

You could even assume the choice was symbolic. Having blue tips to represent the one and the obvious red tips for the other may represent how he's "on the tip" of its influence, but not fully succumbing to it.

As already suggested by @CFW , could be the case indeed.

BTW you guys think Night and Sieg are one person in this game or what? Like if that's the case so no Sieg in SC6? I need freaking Sieg in my life holy hell, i don't need him as much as i need Ivy, but i still need him haha

I cannot wait for them to finally expand upon the evil/insane Kilik we were told about in SC1. It's always been an interesting part of his backstory that has never been given any attention.

Also Nightmare on a horse, didn't we see him ride a ram too in the artwork for SC1? I love how much nostalgia they're packing into this. :)

Yes I think they are the same person, since this is set during SC1.

However, they both got separate character slots in that game (Pyrrha and Omega Pyrrha anyone?) and Nightmare's moves seem to be taken from his SC3-5 movelist. So I think it's almost a certainty that Siegfried will make it in.

EDIT: I love seeing the return of Soul Edge's SC1 design. It looks so good.

I really like the idea of them being 2 separate characters..and having a diffrent fighting style or moveset. Please don't mesh them together.

I'm sure Grøh is Algol. Same balance between blue and red, and (be prepared) in Algol's name, if you replace A with a G, the first L with an R (let's remove the second L because there's no need for a second one), G with Ø and O with H, we get Grøh. Coincidence? I think not.

I don't know what you'd call it. It was a demonic chimera of some sort if anything.

I surprised nobody thought of the possibility that Ø is actually a slashed zero. This could potentially be a connection to Z.W.E.I if they decide to go in that direction in the lore. We can only guess.
More fuel to the fire, I like it. Groh is the prequel. :D

So Grororoyoboat is partially malfested and taps into that occasionally for additional power in a very anime "balancing of the dark and light" kinda thing, which would make sense with his weapon colours and whole duality nature of it. Probably.

Who's in the mood for a tasty blend of Soul Calibur and Soul Edge that he can combine together as a dual blade?
