One wonders if this time, Zasalamel received adequate development time to create a more cohesive moveset.

Hmm, good point. It didn't look like 3AKB from SC3's Abyss, but it's definitely a familiar move variant. Have to look over more of his SC4 set. Definitely hoping they give him some more to make sure he has a working/workable move list this time around.
 
Another thought I had with Zasalamel having connections to Aval: his outfit has some designs that look kind of like what I think they'd wear going by Groh's outfit.

Honestly nervous about the leak being true, mainly because I really don't think Cassandra will bring much variety other than being a more aggressive S&S fighter. Maybe she could get some of Patty's moves or ditch the shield. But she better not do that heart attack or chicken dance taunt.

Yeah, Cassandra was always very different than Sophitia and unique in her own way, yet somehow, in this game, uniqueness will suddenly be a problem between the two.

Its me or the game looks a bit better graphically? maybe its just placebo effect, idk..The only thing that will always annoy me its the few polygons the models have...but this happens with all the games in general though, the lighting effects, textures, shaders, etc, always gets upgraded, but the improvement in poly count its almost no existant since last gen. Sorry for the rant.
 
I mean we’ve got some folks questioning Siegfried returning as himself, but some would have noted Sophie borrowing elements of Cassie like with Siegmare. With at least 11 non-guest slots remaining as far as we know, there could be 10-11 weapon types left if Siegfried or Cassandra do indeed return. Eight or nine with Yunhwang (and the latter is likely DLC fodder) and Yoshimitsu. If Lizzie also comes back, that could be 7 freaking weapon styles left. We might lose some if there are more new characters.

Don’t mean to go there even if most of the fighting styles will be represented. I mean spears/naginatas are most likely going to be absent I’m afraid...

It's similar, but the ender is Zas' 33_99B4. 33_99B is +20. A+K is better because Guard Breaks crush GI & RE.

...Anybody wondering if Father might be an unlockable boss or something? Groh seems really important plot-wise, so
Father could be even more important. Siegfried-not-as-Nightmare could also be unlockable since the reveal trailers start with Xianghua's version of Soul Calibur.

Anyways we might get a hint to Cervantes when we see Ivy on the character select screen.
