Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Usually E3 Coliseums are more for an hour of discussion, interview and interaction with fans, not for announcement. But they can still reveal something there who knows we'll see tomorrow.

So any guesses as to what Groh's father could be like?

For some reason I think he's going to be some kind of crusader with a one handed morning star that sets his weapon on fire, creating a semi-magical type of character. If he's more of a priest he may keep the weapon but I'm thinking in his other hand is a tome.

And if we assume (minus Geralt at least) characters fight on certain stages during the story mode, here are my current thoughts:

Eurydice Shrine: Sophitia and Cassandra
Snow-Capped Showdown: Mitsurugi and Taki or Groh an Papa Groh
Ornstreinsburg: Nightmare and Siegfried
Proving Grounds: Kilik and Xianghua
Indian Port: Maxi and Cervantes
Meadow: Talim and ????
Desert: Zasalamel and Astaroth
Unseen Forest: Tira and Raphael

A stage suiting Ivy or Voldo/Yoshimitsu (I think they favored the same stages in II and IV) has to be decided upon. Or Mitsurugi gets Kaer Morhen for some reason while Yoshimitsu fights at Snow-Capped Showdown instead.

Some characters had different stages in IV while customizing them though and in II, I doubt Kilik actually fought in the Labyrinth while Nightmare's stage was for Destined Battles.

Otherwise we might get a few stages per character to fight at.

There will most likely be a mansion as one of the 2 stages that are still not revealed.
Or some sort of Japanese or Chinese castle also would be very likely.

I think it would be REALLY cool if we got some legacy stages re-made as DLC (Talims windmill and that Thai level from SCII anyone?)

Also Cassandra :)

Namco are doing a stream at 2:30pm tomorrow! Soulcalibur and Tekken will be showcased and we'll probably get new reveals for SC like Okubo said!

Speaking of Algol does anyone want him back? Honestly I don't care much for him and I see him left out in almost all roster speculations.

Despite him being the maker of Soul Calibur I barely see people wanting him back.

I believe this is because SC 6 will be reboot that goes up to SC 3, Algol was introduced in SC 4 so there you go.

Meadow has wind in name, incl. music. Yup, we’re going to Jollibee’s.

And the desert sounds like it might be Silk Road Ruins remade. Hmmm... Could be either Juan or leaping lizards.

^Music is sooooo good. That stage with that music is like out of BotW. I actually don't remember SC music being this good, hopefully there's some memorable tracks.

I'm actually very impressed with the presentation of this game in general. Except that box for rematches, that looks too small and placeholder-y. Did they add to Mitsurugi's CE? I don't remember that last bit.

But can we talk about the load times? That's like some PS2 era ish. Now I don't really know what's T7's excuse is.

On a side note, can I say I bloody love Maxi's upper armor destruction? It's really a clever touch to see him with loose hair ahah.
Also, looks like Geralt will not loose his garments/armor with lethal hits.

Not being at Sony's conference was weird, but then Sony's conference was just weird in general. At least E3 isn't over yet.

And speaking of music I need to hear some direct feed of the Witcher stage music without a bunch of voices talking over it

Maxi can input his CF after his aGI stance ?

also a couple of those "4k" videos seem to suffer from slowdown.
Those videos are just dummy AIs spamming RE and then crouching... not very informative unfortunately
