Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I think one of Vergeben's sources said that the Natsu, Kilik, Nightmare, and Sophitia concept art by Passion Republic were indeed official art, but back when SC6 was going to be an actual sequel to SC5 rather than a reboot.
I mean even common sense would tell you that there'd be no reason for a legitimate company to create concept art of copyrighted characters/IP with absolutely zero link to the owner.

Gotta love how people compare evil seed Kilik to Necalli, even though Kilik's evil seed form existed for 2 decades prior to Necalli being a thing, the aesthetic changes done to it are very minor, it looks very close to how it did in it's conception.

To be fair, this is the first time we've seen it as a gameplay mechanic (or in a game at all.) The comparisons to Necalli, especially in visuals, are quite similar

in my country there is such an anecdote:
-I found Archimedes' law earlier than Archimedes
-well done, but why did not you show it to the rest of the people all this time?
-I was shy
That would be accurate, if there was information about the form but no visuals to base it on, but because there is, a lot of us were able to determine right away what they were referencing, so evil seed Kilik doesn't look like Necalli, it's the other way around.

Well, in the interest of fairness, fans described Necalli as "going super saiyan" when his ability was first unveiled. Because characters powering up (and their hair getting crazier) is a common trope in Japanese pop culture.

i really dont get the logic or theory behind reversal edge being a tool for new comers to fend off veterans when veterans will exploit or avoid it. we even see you can attack them out of reversal edge with enough hits now...

Both Necalli and Kilik were inspired by a classic manga/anime character's transformation that is oddly overlooked thanks to DBZ's popularity being what it is, but was another one of the originators of that trope. Yusuke Urameshi's Demon form on Yu Yu Hakusho.

No Koreans or Raphael isn't so bad. Losing a character is a normal part of fighting games series. You adapt and pick a different one or just play the game with them in it or like play something else.

Max's stream has so many cool interactions. Sieg's crazy throw and cinematic RE finish, Nightmare smacking Sophita 10 feet into a wall, Maxi REing Kilik's CE and Maxi's CE round finish. I need this game so badly.

And YYH may have borrowed a little from Ushio and Tora. Ushio gets long hair when he transforms.

Kilik actually reminds me more of Ushio because of his spear.
