Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I don't think Rock will be on it or any mimic for that matter, I don't see Algol coming back and considering he scored worse than a lot of V's characters in the popularity pool.
 
I doubt the SCV children or originals will make the roster/season pass

It's certainly fun to speculate who fits where on the character select screen/story mode timelines but I think its important to consider that, despite the roster being finalized at this point up through the season pass DLC, the build we have so far may not reflect all the slots available. Further the slots we have now may or may not reflect DLC characters or random/CAS slots.

Based on the rumors, I'm personally in the camp that we will have at least one other full new character for the base roster besides Groh. Whether that's his dad or some other (preferably female) character, I wouldn't know. Or both even. This further complicates the possibilities.

What I'm saying is, outside of the story trailer hints and perhaps Vergs insider info, everything else is a guess. So... buy your lotto tickets!

Third column is the only one I think is quite likely (maybe third row too but I'm not sure on Setsuka), everything else has at least one character that's a shaky maybe at best. The rows with the Koreans could be possible but I think if we see any of the Koreans it'll be Yun, who isn't on the chart.

I don't think it's unrealistic to expect none of them, they did have no Koreans in SCV after all, not even bothering with a Korean kid replacement. I can see them being very low priority characters aside from maybe including Yun or Hwang purely for the sake of having a Korean rep in the game.

Not to mention all 3 are just plain normal people with normal weapons and SCVI seems to be going for the flashy whenever possible.

Mina is NOT a clon or even a semi clon. I'm tired of seeing people thinking it. Is not the same weapon as Kilik and not the same gameplay. Maybe in SC 2 Mina and Kilik were more similar, but in SC 4 they weren't (I didn't play SC 3). Maybe the best proof is that I was Mina main in SC 4, I tried to learn with Kilik and I couldn't use him. Simply his moveset and gameplay is not for me, they both are really different to use.
The fact that they have two or three equal movs doesn't mean they are clones. Even Mitsurugi and Yoshimitsu have 2 or 3 equal movs. Mina's moveset has evolved in the last games and it can evolve even more in SC 6.
(Also the Mina and Kilik equal movs are almost never used at high level battles). You can say that Cassandra is a semi clon (don't get me wrong, I like Cassandra), but not Mina. Anyway, all the characters deserves to be in SC 6, every character has a lot of fans. In my opinion is a mistake to delete characters in a fighting game, specially in SC, there are not a lot of characters even when is the seventh game. What they should do is think better when they add new characters to the series.

And we already have Zas from III.

i mean, why do we need ignore Hwang by putting characters what makes no sense in SCI storyline?

From II they will especially put Talim in. About Raphael and Cassandra.. It's a big 50/50 to me. I'm not sure about Yun Seong. As of Tira, pretty sure she will be in. I think it's the not the case of Setsuka, unfortunately.

I'm still think, they put Talim as PreOrder, because, thats a BEST way to put her without a story questions.
