[14] Master
For some reason I kind of think he'll have a mace and a tome. But Geralt makes me find it harder to believe he'll have magic. But he's a guest so I doubt that would really matter.

Not even kinda a soft reboot, this is consider a full continuity reboot ala MK9.Considering the backlash of replacing staple characters and planting their moves onto their new counterparts, Groh's father being a spear user would no doubt steal some of Hilde's moves which will piss so many people off. A bit of a stupid move considering this is kinda of soft reboot. It would be far better if Project Soul gave him his own unique moveset. I'm all for the speculation of him being a mace user seeing as we don't have that class of fighter in the Soul Calibur series.
if there is another guest character coming as dlc.

he has my nomination.
Edit: For those unfamiliar his name is Lancer from the Fate/Stay Night series.
Unlike MK9, though, it doesn't seem to be changing much of anything. You weren't here when we had a lot of back and forth but I have a post here that goes into detail. I'm not going to go into more, you can read the posts that came before that one if you want the full discussion, but until they actually show us a timeline paradox contradiction, this is just a retelling, a soft reboot. Okubo even questions whether or not reboot was the right word here. Not even kinda a soft reboot, this is consider a full continuity reboot ala MK9.

Um, we do know there are deviations what with Grøh being involved and all. Plus, I highly doubt we're ever going to be returning to the SCV era again.Unlike MK9, though, it doesn't seem to be changing much of anything. The reason why I would like to see Rock is more for consistency and completeness since they are going back to the events of the original SoulCalibur for the Dreamcast. It's similar to how Capcom added Dee Jay and T.Hawk to Super Street Fighter IV even though they weren't really popular characters but instead because they were in Street Fighter II.I personally have a massive distaste for Rock, but I will be respectful: To Rock fans, what exactly is it that you like about him, and what is it that makes it seem like him making it in over other more popular characters would be a good idea? He seems like a genuine waste of a slot to me, he's never had an interesting personality or storyline (ie outshined by other characters who would be a better fit in the restricted base roster), he's never exactly been top of the tiers in gameplay (which I know is half-irrelevant as they can fix this), and he just is not as popular as other characters who could be sacrificed if he was to make it in. So why do you guys think it's a good idea for him to be here instead of someone else? Genuinely curious and admittedly would be quite annoyed if he was to be in the base roster instead of someone like Cassandra or Tira or Raphael, speaking for myself.
